i wear all my watches at least once, each month. So, now i'm getting a head start on April, and i have two on, which are going head to head, each of them relatively new. A steeply discounted Trematic with an SW200 movement, tungsten bezel, textured dial that i actually like, 12-3-6-9 numbers which i don't otherwise have, plus, it's my only green watch, on the right wrist. And a $148 San Martin sterile dialled 3-6-9 with a blue sapphire and excellently lumed bezel, on the left. By 3am, the Trematic still showed its indices, but the hands were too bleary to read, while the San Martin was vividly legible. Neither of the two has lost a second in the last 15 hours or so. So far, looks like the San Martin is the last watch standing, won by a TKO.

Another Citizen today. A Highness 36000 from July 1971. This has a two piece crown. Pull it out to set the time, and push the centre part in to quickset the day/date. 12 upwards and the date quicksets, 12 downwards and the day quicksets

twhp101 you're killing me! A two piece crown movement? I didn't know Citizen had done that. It's like the Seikomatic-P I think. Wow, great stuff!

Back to the tiger eye today. Transistor controlled balance wheel, so more typical for a Cosmotron.

russ, i think your entry ko's both of mine... Oh hell Peter, I don't think so but it's nice of you to say. They're completely different watches, right? well, the San Martin with the sterile dial gives me the feeling of a vintage Omega with none of the overhead, and it costed $148...but i have had the exact same watch as what you posted today, it's just superlative in so many ways, and it's also 15x more expensive than the San Martin. so, not fair to compare them, but, a good sterile replica gives me the same feeling as the original. but would i rather have yours? hell yeah!
