My faithful old egg timer today. Never let me down and does a perfect 3 minutes and 50 seconds for boiled eggs.

You might be right but I'm not so sure. The winder is simply exagerating the movement of the wrist. If what you say is true then if you continue to wear a fully charged watch then you are causing damage. I can't believe that that would be the case. Oh no, perhaps I wasn't clear - I specifically said if you put a mechanical spring-powered automatic (not kinetic) on the swinging trapeze winder you needed to be careful how long you allowed it to run.

Which battery do you think would fit. I have one same problem with charging dudlei , it is indeed a Renata SR920. The two foreign objects are stale Rodico and some masking tape. I don't know why I put it in there but it works. I also noticed that the screws are mismatched. I'll look into this sometime in the mid future. The Seiko shuffle is not on the horizonta axis but rather the vertical. And I just want to add, that if you decide to go for a regular 920 cell, be sure to do what ouroboros has done here, that is, to prevent the rotor turning (one can also remove it comopletelty). You don't want to risk an exploding or burning watch! But if you go for the Panasonic MT920, then rotor is fine. I have ordered mine from a place called NKON (practically only place in EU which had them). They seem to be out of stock at the moment.

How do you like the bracelet? I don’t like the fit at all and had to change to a new, aftermarket, vintage style beads of rice. It did not conform to my wrist and was more oval-like on the wrist rather than round. Unfortunate for me because I like the look. yeah, i had the same problem with it, it wouldn't bend deeply enough to conform to my wrist, so i replaced it with a $40 bracelet from Rdunae which works much better. That beads of rice looks good too, and comfy. I really like the 5 Sports and Speedtimers, definitely on the shopping list!!

Ah. Yes I see what you mean. I stand corrected. I would only use it to charge the watch and not leave it on continually. Mind you, we are getting into the ins and outs of watch winders which is a very polarising subject. And I've not even had a drink yet.

The Seiko shuffle is not on the horizonta axis but rather the vertical. Interesting factoid is that the Technical manual shows that the small cog that fits under the rotor should have oil on it's teeth. This surprises me as I was always under the impression that the teeth of a cog should not be oiled. It seems I'm wrong but does anyone have any thoughts on this?

My newest pickup. Yes, it's a completely original SKX015 (bezel insert and all)!

dapellegrini, I love it. It feels like it’s molded to my wrist. You would think with its size that it would be too chunky but it wears so well. I love looking down at it because the dial just looks so attractive to me. This Uncle Strap is so comfortable as well and almost exactly like the original. I have an original that is in great condition but someone cut the ends to fit an 18mm watch. I’m going to experiment with some black silicone RTV to see if I can fix that.

Damn. I was hoping you would hate it... still, fingers crossed. I also have some pretty wicked options for trade, if ever you want to part with it.
