I have to very sadly report that the gluten intolerance has caught up with me My aging carcass cannot even tolerate Guinness Stout any more I've tried the various hard liquors but they could become addictive due to there being little to no hangovers So, it's back to wine. I've started exploring the local British Columbia vintages and more explicitly, wines produce in vineyards within 100km of me. This could take a long time to find the best. So, I started with the least expensive offerings. Only just started but already surprised by what I've found! More to come in a future 'The Official Wrist Sushi Wine' Thread

My body is telling me that after 10 days or so of knocking back far too much bourbon, rum and vodka, it needs a break from the hard stuff. So, tonight’s choice will be one (or two, or maybe all...) of these - Xmas gift from my sister-in-law and her hubby.

I'm all ready for the winter storm that we are not supposed to be getting today! First time in trying this brew...Founders Imperial Stout Brewed with Chocolate and Coffee Aged in Maple Syrup Bourbon Barrels. ABV 11.3% I have enough to get me through a few days!

Founders Backwoods Bastard is also VERY good. Aged in bourbon barrels. I'm not a bourbon drinker but the beer is excellent. So good, that my wife even likes it. 11.0 beer.

The beer store had a clearance table by the checkout tonight.
This was one there.
4 Loko.
I heard about them before (nothing good) but never paid any attention to them.
I guess if you pound back quatro cervezas you will be muy loco.
For $1.50 a can I said OK.
I was ready for really nasty shit as I heard these were more liquid crack then Steel Reserve 211.
Nice of them to warn you it contains alcohol in case you thought it was one of those new energy drinks.
4 3/4 servings per can.
So are you and 3 3/4 of your homies supposed to sit on the curb or the front porch in the hood and pass the can around?
You're supposed to drink 5oz and let it sit for a day and then drink another 5oz and so on for a week?
23.5 fluid ounces.
Anyone know why it isn't 24oz?
I do going back 25 years ago even before this stuff came out.
Feel free to chime in with the correct answer (no prize)
Now for the review.
This shit ain't bad at all.
It has a nice citrus taste.
Goes down smooth.
Almost too smooth that at 14% alcohol content if you drink it down too fast you will be phuked up off your ass before you know it.
That is why I haven't touched that Mikes Hard Lemonade shit for the last 20 years.
If you can find some in your corner store or bodega or want to take a field trip to the hood I recommend this beverage

Liquor stores deemed essential businesses in Wisconsin
Gov. Tony Evers' Safer at Home order classifies liquor stores as essential businesses.
MILWAUKEE — Gov. Tony Evers' Safer at Home order classifies liquor stores as essential businesses.
That means liquor stores don't need special permission to stay open.
"It's been very very busy. Things have ramped up in the past few weeks," Discount Liquor co-owner Tom Greguska said.
With the uncertainty over what's closing and what isn't, Discount Liquor in Milwaukee has seen big-time buying these past few weeks.
"It's like December. It's like Christmastime. People are out buying everything. Whatever they like, whatever their drink of choice is," Greguska said. "It is, in most people's eyes, probably the majority of the people in Wisconsin, an essential business. It's part of the culture."
Many other states have kept liquor stores open, but others haven't.
Some customers are on board, but other people saw it differently.
"I really don't think they're essential to be honest. With all the businesses around here, why would this one be essential?" Katrina Harris asked.
In Milwaukee, the city's stay-at-home order lists a range of businesses that are deemed essential, including hardware stores, laundromats and CBD retailers.

Well, not sure who’ll be looking at this thread now Zeke appears to have been deleted, but I’m sampling this one tonight. Camba Hopla dry hopped lager. More like a hefe than a pilsner.

Everyone will still be looking at the thread, and "Zeke" was not deleted, this is something he's done himself for whatever reason.

Probably wrong, but I remember driving through a beachside community, and stopping at a convenience store.
