This is my first digital watch I've bought which is unusual for me, normally I go for auto or the odd kinetic . G757 4050 .. for about £100 posted I could not resist. They state it need repair but not what is needed. Looks ok, so fingers crossed nothing major. I think I may be calling on you guys once it comes.

You're gonna love it! I got one of these last year and restored it. A very nice watch and a good movement. Before: After: That's a great job. I have a soft spot for these Caravelles, but hard to find parts in the UK. This was in good condition but had to harvest parts from 3 different movements. Need to touch up the lume next.

I just need to find a bracelet to fit but original new are silly priced. with this being an early version it did not come on a s/steel.

Oh dear, this needs to be looked after!! Fortunately (??) none of them have been warehoused for very long, so no issue of having to pay for storage, just an overall feeling that I need to ship those home! BUT! I have one more I'm waiting for, that I just won this morning. What must be the biggest mistake I've ever made buying stuff online. Saw this come up a few days ago, with a very low starting price. I put in a "marker" bid of 8888 yen so it would appear on my "Bidding" page. This morning it was up to 23888 yen or about US$215. I threw caution to the wind and decided to make one last bid of 28888 or about US$260!! Wow, that's a lot for a stupid quartz chrono even if it looks cool! BUT! What I typed AND approved was a bid for 88888 yen or about EIGHT HUNDRED DOLLARS!! I watched helplessly as the other bidder jousted uselessly against my insurmountable wall... US$250, US$300, US$350, US$400 and finally US$450. I can see the other bidder saying, "Wow, someone REALLY wanted THAT one!" No, not really... Sigh... - Thomas

Another very nice watch to your collection. From what I have seen these go for many more than the original I would say at that price you did well indeed...

Just pulled the trigger on one of these. I love the original version of the Snorkel, and have lusted after one for years. This new reissue should scratch that long-term itch nicely.
The only thing that puts me off of this one is...the size. As usual, it is bigger than the original. For some reason, Bulova decided to make the affordable, black-and-red, Miyota-powered, everyman version of this reissue 44mm, and the super-sweet, high-dollar, limited edition, Sellita-powered, orange-dialed version 40mm. But, just as with women, I don't write cool watches off as being unacceptable just because they are a little on the 'chunky side'.
I would love to have three minutes alone with the person at Bulova who made this sizing decision...in a room with NO WINDOWS.

Rob said, "...but it spiraled out of control."
For you and me!
I want to see how much this hand painting would cost (see below). I think it will improve normal time legibility and be an appearance improvement in general.
I already pity the person who agrees to do the work, "Okay, and by the way have you noticed the color yellow I've chosen for the hands?" "Notice how the yellow is not too 'bright', that it is sort of a 'soft' yellow. Uh-huh, and notice it has just a 'touch' of green in it, for a bit of that 'safety yellow' look."

Yes, other than the size, it is one of the most faithful re-issues going around. Very nice watch.

Well, it sure is a looker! I am hoping it wears like my SBBN015. That watch is about as big as I can go.

. Holy Moly! Some idiot just paid US$650 for a Seiko 5719-8990 bezel!!!Just for the bezel!!! I hope it's for real!! Why oh why would anyone pay that much for this bezel??? Well, I can tell you one way. You check your auctions in the morning and you see someone beat your 10888 yen (US$98) bid for a nice supposedly OEM 5719 bezel. So you counter bid to your maximum bid of 12888 yen (US$116), I know I'll never win this auction, but this is my last stab at it. EXCEPT THAT I ENTERED 112888 YEN BY MISTAKE!! That is OVER ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS!!I even contacted BUYEE but of course they said there was nothing they could do about it, and even refused to contact the seller, as there was only one hour left to the auction. Not knowing what else to do, I went back to work. I guess I could have taken the money out of my account so the payment failed but I didn't want to get a "bad mark" about my credit. Anyone want a nice new bezel for a Seiko 5719 one-button chrono? How badly do you want it??? - Thomas .

Or will the show be titled: "Bidding from Prison!"
Nah! I have the money to cover my misfortune, it will just be a little tight for the next few weeks. Or months...
