This 6139-6002 has just arrived home. It has no crown, but I managed to set the time using a crown from another watch. I've also checked that the indicator ring rotates smoothly and the day and date quick set works perfectly. The push buttons are stuck and do not work, I was expecting that because they seem to be too short, so I guess they are bent. Thankfully the crono is on and the minute counter is working fine. Is the dial and hands original? What do you think? Any recomendation where to buy the crown and buttons? Looks good to me. The pushers are probably stuck in the in position because the gaskets are rock hard. Replace the gaskets and they'll probably be fine. If they're a little bent you can straighten them with needle nosed pliers. Is the stem/gear/spring system all there? Ie, do you just need the crown or do you need the gear and spring too?

I didn't take the stem out, I don't dare to touch this watch but I think I only need the crown as the inner bezel rotates smoothly. I'm thinking on taking it to a professional watchmaker.

I have a bunch of stuff coming in the mail, but this is the one I am most stoked about. I think I got a pretty good deal on it used, but it is still the most I have ever spent on a single watch. It is an SBGT037 with all of it's accoutrements. I believe it dates to 2016.
Hope it makes it here safely from Japan. I plan to wear the shit out of this...

Thanks! I am really happy about the size...37mm x 42mm. I have 6.5" wrists, and this is the "sweet spot" for me. Can't wait to get it!

Was my wruw 2/11 an inspiration? 'Fraid not, coincidence, this one's a 7005-7130. Cheap and looks clean. I usually wear watches like this a couple of times and flip 'em at some point.

I probably overpaid for this, but I have very few Citizens in my collection (other than Navihawks). Plus, I love the hands. I found this one by accident. I really like the 38-series Seikos, and check YJ for them regularly. I typed in "Seiko 3802", and this watch popped up.
The seller misread the back of the watch, and the watch was found in a vintage Seiko box. So it was listed as a "Seiko 3802" when it is actually a "Citizen 3802". That put it on my radar!

This should be here today. It is an 8229-6000. Not quite NOS, but barely worn. I thought there would be more interest in this, but I was able to get it for the rather low opening bid.
Edit: Now that I look again, the box and papers may belong to a 7A!

Nice - I actually put a low 'holding' bid on this before the seller put up their pictures thinking it was a 38 series quartz, I was very glad when the bidding went past my mine! Not that it isn't a beauty but I'm not after divers ☺️

Just arrived from one of our favourite sellers, you know the one. Bought out of interest as I’ve not handled one before and to see if I can get it running for my boy at some point; although I’ve read posts saying that these are a piece of crap really. 4205-015B from June 1985 (I guess ‘85)

I would love to rework one and pass it on to my daughter...if she'd take off the BabyG she got for her birthday. Please keep us informed as there doesn't seem to be much info out there that I've come across.

So I received those other two 7009's, the Patel special is more likely a 3XXX reference, slightly smaller then the 821X (or even the 81XX's) I was hoping for. Runs great but knowing what it is I will have to do a number on it...Seller even tossed in a spare 7009 movement!!! I put in an early bid on this one since I don't have a goldtone example 7009-8219. I don't really care for goldtone though??? But when building a collection of a reference...Case looks pretty clean; no rub through I could see, but depending on how long its had the OMSB© (old man stretchy band) what the condition between the lugs are. Sellers Pic.

These are movements with indirectly driven seconds hands so if you don't get the assembly right on, there will be slight hopping of the hand. It does not affect time keeping. It's just a trigger for those with OCD
The one area that is truly crappy is the date mechanism. It always took me 2 or 3 tries to get it to function perfectly. Other than that, the 4205 is a pretty dependable little movement.

Hey cobrajet25. You jogged my memory on this one. It's been living in a box for about 4 years now, took it out a few times for pics, but that's it. Absolutely perfect example. Rob

I second that, incorrect assembly results in a jumpy seconds hand. They are nice little movements when serviced. You get manual and auto winding in a small package. Only thing to note if you go down the self-servicing route is to get a donor movement as those small parts will pop. The movement was common for the lady watches of that era and they are as cheap as chips. I can't recall which one but one of the versions (I think 4205A) is all metal and the later one 4205B and the 4206 have plastic components Just arrived from one of our favourite sellers, you know the one.
