On mine the pushers do work, you have to screw the caps out to the end of the pusher, the 2 o'clock pusher works the 9 o'clock sub dial, it advances two segments at a time, can't see how it can be the Day there aren't 12 in a week. The 4 o'clock pusher works the 3 o'clock sub dial and may indicate the date 1 to 30 ? The 6 o'clock sub dial works with the time and advances one segment every hour, rotates once every 12 hours. None of it makes a lot of sense, still a step ahead of some of the cheap Chinese "Chronographs" that have 2 pushers that do nothing and three sub dials with the hands glued to the dial, but what the heck! It gives you the bling without the sting.

Does the chronograph actually work? The movement looks so poor... No, One pusher sets the date on the r/h sub dial, don't know exactly what the other 2 subdials do.

Not a bad price for the case, did you get it with the bezel? If so was the insert included? a bit vague on their site, build yourself a new watch drop in a NH36 movement.

Aloha Sir Max they look good and very nice to see. Ramon does have some goodies at times I have seen. You have a nice collection there and well organized. You need a few ..... Aqualand's now to add to your collection...... . I am like you that area but I enjoy messing with them and getting them going. It comes about with have a lot of Experience Collected and Fun doing them. When I first started collecting Ramon had a lot of what today is very hard to find and at a good price too. He has help me find some very interesting pieces and I still have those ... Very First Ones here. He takes care of many and is a very helpful person in many areas also. Congrats on a very good collection Max, Aloha Louis G'day Louis, I am afraid they won't win many beauty contests, there are some fairly ordinary dials amongst them, the reason they haven't been sold, my primary interest was in restoration, and collecting is just collateral damage. I had an Aqualand and sold it to you, all those batteries had me foxed couldn't work out who did what! And as you seem to have cornered the Aqualand market and caused a supply shortage I can no longer afford them! Aloha Max.

Outside of one maybe two I would never have thought they came from Ramon... Maybe I was late to the party I don't recall ever seeing anything so nice from him. That said I haven't seen him peddling movements like he was, and those at the end, didn't seem to be worth the shipping cost...Which is kind of a shame as those looking to get in to the hobby won't have that resource... That said interesting how you've managed to keep track of the cost of your hobby. I have a hell of a time remembering to add to my spreadsheet when I buy new. let alone when I sell, or move on... If you moved all those on at $10 ea, you'd be very well in the black... Ramon had some good watches at times but you had to look hard, I always tried to spot the good dials under the crappy crystals, you could always buy a batch of movements for spare parts, but without a decent dial you had nothing.

This is my collection of odd bods & sods, nothing of any note as most of these were purchased as parts watches, a large proportion of them from Ramon (The Watch Collector), the most I have paid for a single watch is AU$127 for one of the bell's. The fact is much of the collection are the rejects, most of the better watches I have bought and restored have been sold to fund the hobby and I keep the ones I don't consider good enough to sell on. Over the four years I have been restoring and selling I am $203.00 in the red, so that is the cost of the collection. They are not sorted in any particular order. Some of the watches are personal watches, mostly gifts. This Box, top row #1 Casio Telememo Gift From Wife, #2 Lorus Quartz 100 GFW. Second Row #2 Citizen Quartz Chrono GFW This lot is my Chinese Collection. This Box Second row # Casio Calculator Watch 1983 GFW, Seiko 6119-6023 from 1976 GFW This box second row #5 Hoga Diver Purchased in New Guinea 1963 This is the odds & ends section includes my fakes collection.

This contest is starting to look like an "Arnie" face off.

Not a Seiko, but I blew my watch budget on this one, not that I needed another Chinese mechanical watch but for AU$11.99 posted how could I resist, another for my Chinese Collection, in another 50 years these will be worth a fortune at the rate they will be scrapped in the intervening years, that's my story anyway! This is my entry in the Quarts Accuracy Competition. An old Orient Quartz Diver, original movement was not repairable so I fitted a Hattori VX43M movement. I thought it would be interesting to see how a modern cheap quartz movement would hold up against some of the older high quality quartz, I wear this watch as a daily beater as is evident from the crystal, I wear it all the time since I modded it, I sometimes even remember to take it off and wear a nice watch when I go out, so the demands of wearing for the competition should not be a problem.

The case condition doesn't look too bad in the photo, maybe a little wear through on the shoulders of the lugs, give it a polish with a gold polishing cloth and it should come a treat.
Some of these I have found with badly worn gold plate have brass cases, these polished up and clear coated look great, I think better than the gold, but always check by scraping in an unobtrusive place on the case to find out what lies underneath.

Some nice looking watches there Zeke, it amazes me the quality they can turn out for the price.
The last two really look the part, shame they only have 3 ATM rating, I have a dress watch that is supposed to have 10 ATM rating, don't think I will try it out though, they do have a habit of exaggerating a little, like if it has 2 pushers, even if they only change the day/date and calling it a Chronograph.

Know nothing about that movement, have heard they are good, Re pricing: on the bay they seem to run in the range $1200/$1600 dependent on condition and all the other factors.
Nice looking watch!

Usually seems to be a problem in the keyless works, wear or damage and the hacking switch does not completely disengage when the stem is pushed in.

Nice watch, with undoubtedly a nice price to accompany it.
Can't get the "hang up" with the "X", this is a new series of watch, the "Prospex" identified by the X, I wonder it the same furor accompanied the release of the "Seiko 5" series, with the 5 numeral on the dial?
