You can't go wrong for twenty bucks! It's got an interesting look to it but a bit on the modern side (style wise) for my personal taste. But hey . . . who cares what I think . . . as long as you like it, that's all that matters! I tend to agree, but I don't mind the modern style and can't afford the old collectible chronos, besides I recon these are going to be collectible in 20/30 years (should I live so long) so I am getting in early! What I do like about these models is that they are so comfortable to wear, they feel as though they have been sculpted just to fit your wrist, and you can't feel that you are wearing them. Not really into repairing quartz yet and just about every one I have bought that "needs new battery" actually need a new movement, good to get one that bucks the trend. Thanks for your comments! Max

Congrats on your new addition, enjoy! It's been slow around here lately, don't take the lack of comments personally. Thanks Groundhog, not taking it personally just giving a bump. Max

Well I know it is only a Lorus, but it is still a member of the Seiko family and I would have thought worth a comment!

Lorus Fusion Chronograph, came in the post this morning, sold as not working and picked it up for $20.50 was going to add it to the To Do list then I thought I would open it up and check just in case it has a leaking battery. Shoved in a new battery and fixed a stuck pusher and it fired up like a champion. Its nice to have a win now and then. Max

I really like the Citron. Do both the inner bezels rotate independently? Yes they both rotate separately with the 2 other crowns and seem to work freely. Max

dasher,
I have sort of been ignoring quartz, I repaired 3 of my own but have been shying away from buying them, may have to have a rethink, will see how I go with these.

Lets face it, with that many running around in mint condition they would have to be Fakes, or someone has discovered the Seiko "Fountain of Youth" !

I bid on a lot of 8 old watches, the usual fuzzy photo but I could make out 2 Seikos and a Citizen so I though it was worth a shot. They came to day. Seiko 7625-7053. Seiko 7625-8043. Citizen Quartz 5500A. Cleaned up the battery contacts and it fired up. A Q&Q Quartz, it was actually running out of the box. A Casio Quartz, the super rare rotating dial type. After I aligned the movt and inserted the stem in the right hole it started running. A Mandarin Super de luxe. With a name like that why wouldn't it have a movt from The Triad Watch Co? A Citron World Time. With a top of the range Swiss movt. The eighth one was a cheap pin lever movt with a broken balance staff. But at an average cost of $1.50 each including postage I am not complaining! Max

If they don't PayPal, I don't deal!
Won't use bank transfer - they have your money ( that the bank won't try to get back) and you have nothing but blind trust.

G'day, My name is Max, I live in Queensland Australia on the Western Darling Downs. I started my working life as a heavy equipment mechanic and have worked in a variety of jobs since. Now many years retired I have always had an interest in things mechanical as well as computers, photography and woodworking. I only got into watches about 6 Months ago, looking for a hobby to do inside during the heat of summer and the cold of winter, (don't handle the extremes to well these days) Wife objected to the power planer and belt sander in the living room. At 75 its probably a little late to be starting a new career but what the heck! Hope to get plenty of good advice from all the good folks here, or even the bad ones. Max

Good honest trader, at least he warns you he is selling crap, not some fuzzy photos of a 'Mint?" item!
