Thanks, Guys. That 2205 looks interesting... but if it's hard to set I'll hate it.

Every collection should have the 6105, 6306, 6309, and 7002 divers.

I'm definitely biased, but it has to be a 7548

I'm definitely biased, but it has to be a 7548 At the risk of being cast out to start our own forum man, I agree entirely . . . so my three 'must haves' are a 7548, a 6309-040x and I guess I'd have to say one of the classic chronos, whichever of the main three sub-groups stoke your furnace . . . maybe a 7549-70xx as well, and a . . .

For me, so far, the ones I've stuck with for a core are
6105-8000 6105-8110 6309-7049 7002-7039 transitional SKX007
That's the main line of Seiko divers for me.
Side pieces are
7549-7009 "Golden" to represent the Tunas (though I wish like hell I'd never sold my 7549-7010) A few representative 70m sport divers.
EDIT: and I think it's time for me to bring a Stargate back into the mix

EDIT: and I think it's time for me to bring a Stargate back into the mix That would be a wise choice my friend! Like many of you, my collection is empty without: 6105 6309 7548 7C43 And my large Stargate collection!

Gotta say I'm a bit surprised? Only divers listed? No 6139, 6138? How can this be?

OK, my 10 pence (16 cents) worth. All Divers Dave, but that's my Non-Wis gig too, so am I forgiven? First, 6309. As I've posted & many others. The Start of your addiction, Sorry Collection mines got some AM dial/hands action but there you go. By the time you read this is should be on its way back from my watch guy, resealed, pressure tested with Original hand-set Now, for quite a while I wasn't bothered by the next one. Then I saw Daves on the old forum & was "OMG, someone buy my kids organs, I need one!" Yep, 6105! I've the 8119 but if the 8000 floats your boat who's gona argue? Can we call the next a modern classic? Bit of an oxymoron but hay-ho. 007 or 009. Got this one only couple weeks ago off Jimmy. Now on a Rubber strap (of course!!) and this Anvil is now on KingRats MM-Sumo Mod. Think maybe a 3 o'clocked diver should be in there somewhere, MAS62 maybe? Got a couple of SKX031's in the house (my 2 son's) but are both modded so left them out for now. But for me, these three are my "Core-Divers" thinking of a trip-loc Mod on the 6105 so I can actually dive it but apart from that I'm happy.

I have to agree with dad & say the 6105 & 6309 but if a total newb was asking my non expert opinion I'd say check out the 70m sports diver range which I think represent superb value for money & come in many styles to suit all tastes. I particularly like the 6119-6400 range, sushi roll etc etc.
Some sort of Seiko dress watch is also a must IMHO.

Gotta say I'm a bit surprised? Only divers listed? No 6139, 6138? How can this be? I'm one step ahead of you Dave. Go back to page one for my 6139 nomination. There are also a bunch of 7As that definitely deserve to be included.

Also got a 2205 for the wife. Here's a group shot with my 6309: ... but I'd say the 6105 is equally essential:

For me at the moment it has to be a Golden Tuna and one of the Grand Seiko's (can't make up my mind which one). On the chronograph front how about the iconic brown bullhead, and a UFO.
There is a Golden Tuna on the Ebay, boy I wish Polly could lend me the money for it.

I think the 6309 wins, too. In all the movies and popular culture sightings, it is usually a diver that is seen, Alien(s) movies being the exception.
