Li'L Peter Muncher isn't doing so good Sits on the same stoop as J and Shaggy, gets the same amount of sun, same soil, even lives a privileged lifestyle He got to spend 2 more days in the sheltered box at the store, he got his own safe space pot, he only drinks distilled water (J and Shaggy got some yellow ass roof runoff water their first few days as I didn't have any distilled water), his pot got a top covering of long strand sphagnum moss (to prevent him from drying out and getting ashy), and I even had to hand feed him a spider since he couldn't catch anything on his own. J and Shaggy have all kinds of new leaves sprouting up while Li'L Peter Muncher is just sitting there I have a PPM tester coming on the slow boat from China to see if the yellow rain water is safe but based on my independent tests it seems to contain Juggalite which enhances muncher growth and can be collected in much larger quantities than hippy "pure rainwater"

I think destilled water is not good for plants. But you are the Garden specialist here now, so what do I know.

Better a Thrower that a Tosser... Don't you have a rainwater barrel, Josh? No matter if it's yellow (but why is it, though?).

Yeah, who's pissing on your roof? The water is not clear as it contains all of the shit that has accumulated on your roof since the last time it rained and washed it off: dirt, sand, pollution, bird shit, etc which all ends up in the runoff.

It's not Christmas yet (but they did put up all of the Halloween shit at work on Monday) so you'll have to wait for your "It is better to give than to receive" package

Li'L Peter Muncher looks like it needs a Peter to munch.
I hope you talk to them, Josh? Have you been ignoring telling Li'L Peter Muncher about your day, maybe favouring J and Shaggy because they're easier to please?
I hope not!
Just feeding it a spider and then sighing isn't gonna go down well, especially when J and Shaggy are looking like they're gonna eat Li'L Peter Muncher's Li'L ass in a week or two.

I had to rescue these 2 today. The manager said he would sell them to me for half price  We had 4 plants left and I checked them yesterday and the long stand was completely dry in all of them. Noone watered them since they came in. I never water any of them cuz all we have is tap water and I was hoping that all of the plants would have been adopted by the time they would need watering. So I watered them yesterday since I didn't know if I could get a deal on them or not and didn't want the 2 out of 4 that were still somewhat green to die in case he said no. The bigger, greener of the 2 has a lot of closed (eating) traps so I guess that is how it survived better. Hopefully I can revive these 2.

Hopefully Peter doesn't hire Cooter to burn down his shed for the insurance money (2 stores and counting) after seeing Li'L Peter Muncher trying to commit suicide the other day. Contrary to the previous pic he is acclimating well (the redder the better and even a new sprout) and unfortunately all of my plants started late in the growing cycle and will soon need to go into dormancy just when J and Shaggy have a lot of new sprouts. Hang in there Peter. There is always next season. The Bucks have been saying that for the last 40 years I think next season if this years dormancy goes well all of the birds in the area will be starving cuz all of the bugs will be snatched up in my back 40.

If you would have had a muncher you wouldn't be in that situation Spiders are one of the top 3 "victims" www.yahoo.com/news/mum-needs-two-operations-being-200639470.htmlMum needs two operations after being bitten by spider while on toiletA mother of four has told of how she was struck down with illness after she was bitten by a garden spider while she was sitting on the toilet. Lauren Boddy, 27, was sitting on the toilet when she spotted a red mark on her left leg. The English mother didn't think much of it then but the next day, she was in agony. "I could barely put any weight on the leg," she told The Sun. Ms Boddy said it kept getting more red, bigger and "looked like it was full of pus". “It was really bizarre. I’ve never seen anything like it in my life," she said. Her first trip to the hospital ended with doctors prescribing her with antibiotics and sending her home but just two days later, she became more sick. “I was shivering, had a red line running down my thigh and the bite area was oozing pus,” she said. After another trip back to the hosptial, she was admitted and put on an antibiotic drip. After discovering the 10cm-deep bite, doctors said they had to operate. However, a few weeks later, when she lying in bed with one of her sons, she felt a bite on her back and rushed to hospital again. “This time, surgeons had to take a chunk of skin from my lower back, even removed some of my tattoo. I was gutted,” she said. “The wound is quite deep, about 7cm. It’s not very nice. I’ve been left with bad scars on my leg and back.” The spider didn't get away unharmed after the mum spotted it on a dressing up outfit a few weeks later. She grabbed a glass and trapped the critter. “Cruel? I think not. I had a huge plaster on my back, a scar on my thigh. I couldn’t bear to think what’d happen if that thing bit me or one of my kids again," Ms Boddy said. She looked it up online and said it appeared to be a woodlouse spider. Ms Boddy said she has been scarred from the incidents. "I know it sounds cruel, if I see any spider now I kill them. It horrifies me. I’m worried they’ll come back,” she said. “Mums need to be very vigilant. People are too laid back. “I know kids should be able to go out and explore but you need to be vigilant, to see what they’re picking up and what’s around. It’s really scary.” “It was such a big hole that they had to pack it, it couldn’t be stitched. I had to go back every other day to have it seen to," Ms Boddy said. She was also on antibiotics for a month after the operation. It wasn't just Ms Boddy that was hospitalised but also her ex-boyfriend Luke - who had been looking after the children during her hospitalisation - who ended up in hospital after being bitten by a spider on his testicles. Fearing the spider was lurking around, Ms Boddy cleaned her house top to bottom and bleached the children's playhouse.

Their native habitat is marshy bog near waterfalls so there's high humidity. Any little potted specimen the kids bring home, we don't water them by pouring water from up top. It's better to soak the potful of spaghnum moss entirely up to its rim in water for about 10mins then let drain, do it every other day. If nobody's around to do it, we leave them sitting in a tray with 1" of water and they'll be fine for while. Frost kills them fast though Tap Water here is quite soft so no plants complain.

J and Shaggy with their little tag along groupie Li'L Peter Muncher. Remember Li'l P's sprout from a month ago? Well here it is ready to open (the leaf in the middle standing straight up). And 2 more new sprouts. And my Zombie plant. Of the 2 dried out plants I got off the dead plant rack at work this is the only one that was still green. But it hasn't grown, changed, or died off black at all in the last 3 weeks. So I don't know if it is dead or The Living Dead.

Shaggy's sprouts are having a face off (or forming a gateway) There better not be a dimensional wormhole hot spot in my purple pot.

J and Shaggy had been putting up a bunch of new leafs back in late October / November and Li'L P even started to put up a flower stalk and then dormancy hit. Either they are all dead while still showing some green like my Zombie plant from earlier or they are hopefully really sleeping to come back bigger and stronger next year. Spending the off season chillin'. Come spring I am going to have myself a nice bog going if I can find some pitchers.
