That Chinese-sponsored version of the waterfalls is effectively very pretty and worth the click (from a computer at your local library) And no snow storms in sight there

And not to mention HiBeat shows up in the end of the video and is quite a looker himself. A bit younger and prettier than I had judged by the arm hair!
Awsome kickoff HiBeat, very cool photos and history lesson. This World Traveler Project V2 is turning out to be quite educational isn't it?
Oh yeah, the hands on that 6117 better be right. I had them on and off too many times, and with four to set it's a real chore to get it just right. Honestly the most stressful time for me at the bench is the setting of hands. So glad that's behind us all now and glad to have your approval of my efforts!

Here in the NorthEast USA the true badge of Colonial honor for any historical building is to be able to document the claim "George Washington slept here." This is followed by "George Wasington ate here." Then we have signs that say "George Washington marched down this road". The order of importance is very much a real thing.
Well, Big George didn't just sleep here, he flat-out made our town his Headquarters for several months. This is the Dey Mansion (pronounced like 'dye' or 'die' if you are reading this educational piece out loud to your captivated audience). There are 300 year old trees on the grounds and I envision some of GW's exhaled CO2 being embedded in them via the Calvin Cycle. I really need to stop thinking so hard about this place.
Anyway others who stayed at this encampment, aside from of course Alexander Hamilton, was the Marquis de Lafayette, General "Mad Anthony" Wayne, Benedict Arnold, and other famous people I have never heard of so I am not listing them.
So the Dey Mansion was built in the early 1700's, generally accepted to be about 1735- 1740. Now to us Yankees here in the New Country, that's "old". I realize when I go to Europe it is not actually antiquity just among the best we can do for old buildings. Forgive us for our grandiose self-centrism it's how we roll.
You see the name "Preakness" in the sign. This area was the "Preakness Valley" in the 1700's and 1800's. A horse racing family from Wayne NJ raised a horse named "Preakness" and they sent it down to the newly built Pimlico Racetrack in Baltimore MD to run in the premier stakes race on the first day of racing at the new track. The horse won, and you guessed it, after a while they renamed their premier race, so now you know why the second leg of horse racing's Triple Crown is known as The Preakness Stakes.
OK Jon . . . . you and inboost are going to be hard to follow. I don't know if I'm going to have time to take the watch on such an extensive tour! It may make it into NYC for a day at one of the city's universities but I'm going to have to see what else I can do to make its visit somewhat interesting.

Honestly dapellegrini gave this watch such a momentous launch we're all deep in his shadow of showmanship - there's no competition here. What we're interested in are people showing us they're enjoying the watch any way they like. Interesting photos and historical markers are great fun for all but it's absolutely NOT a requirement! Take a photo next to a mile marker on the commute to work when you're stuck in traffic or pose with the Space Shuttle at the Air and Space Museum. All of it's good!

No worries Bob, this will prove to be much less now that the World Traveller is on its journey to a warmer climate.

Today the World Traveler caught a MLB Spring Training game in sunny Florida They say the games don't count but the beer and hot dogs certainly did.

Grapefruit league! Red Sox maybe? Here we've got the Cactus League, with the Padres and the Mariners playing just a couple miles down the road each winter.

I loved going to the San Francisco Giants park in Scottsdale. The White Sox stadium was just OK. Cactus vs Grapefruit Leagues, they are both just a great way to see the teams in a warm sunny spring venue.

My second favorite Cops episode. Favorite has to be the larger woman lunging towards a police officer with a large chefs knife, tripping and falling onto the knife. Ow, ow ow…

OK so maybe the only big snow storm of Winter 2023 wiped out any chance for the WristSushi World Traveler 2023 to catch a Springsteen show during its time with me, but rest assured it most assuredly did not rest.
From risking it's safety in Paterson NJ to flying down and experiencing some nice scenes in Florida, together we traversed well over 2,000 miles. A few trinkets have been added to the box, showing the iconic beachfront bar "The Elbo Room" in Fort Lauderdale, the great Ron Jon Surf Shop of Cocoa Beach, and fine New York pizza oceanside pie at Melbourne Beach / Indiatlantic.
On jet ski or golf days it had to let my workhorse SNE441 to the beatings and got her all charged up by that warn Florida sun. Meanwhile I wore the World Traveler when G-Forces were low and the environment was above water - salt water at that.
Meanwhile from catching a spring training baseball game all the way to beautiful Red Reef Park in Boca Raton, it got wowed by the opulence that South Florida from Palm Springs on down has to offer.
I'll be passing it on to 69ChevelleSS soon enough. One final photo with a few mementos of its journey that are being added to the box.
Thank you Dan for cooking up this enjoyable pastime and thank you Simon for making sure it was able to pass time.

HiBeat it sounds like you had a trip down the beach, from the Space Coast (Melbourne / Cocoa Beach) to Boca Raton and then further south still to Ft. Lauderdale. Beautiful coast line the whole way.
