Online there is no reality only perceived reality. A coin dealer came into our coin club meeting last meeting and gave a presentation and one point he made was he said that the current generation of "new" or "young" collectors only buy coins that look good in pictures.
Doesn't matter if it a low MS grade or AU or has dull luster as long as the wear and marks don't show up in pictures.
Why?
Cuz they upload all of their pictures to their phone or social media and swipe through their phone showing their collection rather than have an in person meetup to show off their collection to a "real" person in "real" life at a "real" place  |

My guess was 9 EDIT: I count 6 cars
I'm guessing one of those six "cars" is a door. I'm trying to figure out whether the one on the far right is actually a dumpster or not. In most places a dumpster might not be right next to the entrance, but this is a BK we're talking about, so....

Just curious are you off work today ?? I've 'worked from home' for 31 years as an outside salesman/mucketymuck and have turned down 'promotions' because it meant going to an office every day. Now that so many others have tasted the sweet nectar of WFH they have ruined it for us OGs. I used to complain that WFH meant I never left the office. Now I am just another WFH easy street half. |

Well the contestants' guess' or educated guess' or I bet in inboost's case a scientific algorithmic analysis  were as follows:
victor 3 camrock 11 trilo 9 dapellegrini 22 inboost 17
It seems peoples guess from the blurry Loch Ness Monster picture is either 5 or 6 cars.
So I will let the 2 closest entrants victor and trilo think about the over under spread and . . . . . . . . . . 
I got there 10 minutes early to post up at the spot and make sure I had a good angle, no one parked a dump truck in front 1 minute before the time like at TNJ for the 2017 contest, make sure there was no Northsider creaping up on my 6 trying to pull a jack move, and so on.
The most cars in the lot during that time was 11 plus all of the cars in the drive through (which don't count)
As I kept looking at my watch waiting on 12:30 more cars were pulling out and leaving than were coming in.
At least when I went inside at 12:35 I was in and out in leas than 2 minutes
I don't do drive throughs and it pisses me off that they fill those orders at a rate of 3:1 or 4:1 compared to the dine up customers 
This time the drive through was clogged up and not moving.
Works for me.

I didn't really pay attention to the rules of the show - I was just waiting for a wardrobe malfunction by one of his hostesses. But the rule I do remember is "closest bid without going over" in the Showcase Showdown.

The Price Is Right reference goes back to the first tie breaker many years ago where I said post your answer in the thread and the first person said / bid 5 and then the next person "Price Is Right'd" them and said 6 and the next person said 7.
Which is why I said message me your entry instead of posting it publicly to prevent that from happening again.
Yes, the showcase showdown does stipulate the person closest without going over wins and if you are within $100 you win both showcases.
However I guess I didn't make any conditions other than who was closest.
The guess spread is 6.
3 is a tie
2 is a win.
Maybe it was 2016 that the Price is righting went on.

It's damn warm in here and I woke up in the middle of the night. Had to check this and then I saw all these posts  Brought back some childhood memories, when you couldn't wait for your favourite show to start! I'm not familiar with price is right and if I had chosen 8 (I tell you folks, it was a hard choice!) I would have "lost" according to the Price is right rules since I went past. Whos idea this show was in the first place!? I'm however familiar with Antiques roadshow and when you are having a guess on the expert opinion before the grand reveal, only thing that matters is how close you were!  I'm up for one more tie braker between me and Victor  EDIT: and sorry for coming out with my number 9. I was confused and wasn't sure what to do. |
