What if Tyrone Jenkins 's coin is damaged in the process and ends up only being worth face value?

Heads at left, tails at right: Well I think congrats to victor and condolences to trilo - as they say, sometimes it's better to be lucky than to be good So, master of ceremonies, does the winner now demand their prize so we can get on with the riff-raff's raffle?

WOW I really like that US 5 dollar piece. I don't recall it.
It is the 1987 Bicentennial of the Constitution commemorative gold half eagle.
For those that didn't know the original circulating gold US coins were called Double Eagle ($20), Eagle ($10), Half Eagle ($5), and Quarter Eagle $2.50)
Then there were also the $3 gold coins.

That is a helluva coin to use for a coin toss... I've got the cheap coin in the set, which is to say the silver one here: EDIT: Fun fact - it was illegal in the USA to own gold coins and/or bullion from 1933 to 1974...

My 2016 gold 100th Anniversary centennial reissues of the best looking US coins ever minted (other than maybe some of the classic commemorative coins) are locked up somewhere. I can only find the gold Mercury Dime sitting here.
I was going to use one of the 2016 SLQ's to wear slick in my pocket since it was a one off / one year / one finish coin but they were selling for too much so I had to settle for the Constitution and the 1988 Oylmpics half eagles.
I always liked the eagle design on the Constitution and also wanted the George Washington Death one but prices have skyrocketed recently due to the mint reissuing the obverse design on the 2021 Crossing the Delaware circulation quarters.
Fun Fact: the mint issued the 2016 coins in gold rather than their original silver composition because silver would have required a Congressional bill to pass the house and the senate in order for it to be passed into law to allow the mint to strike them.
It seems they can do whatever they want with gold.

And we know how much fun it is to get a bill passed by the US House/Senate. π¬
