I had a customer come in today and say he was going to pay cash. I said that is fine and when writing him up I could see the back of an "older small face" $100's. I figured maybe had had a 1985 or 1977 or whatever the later years were and the rest were the current design. As he is counting them out I notice the curved dates of the 1934 issues. And then he started peeling off $50's and noticed one of them was a national currency note. And he had MORE in his wallet [dr] I asked if he wanted to swap those for some newer ones I had but I think he misunderstood my question and wasn't going to push the issue. SO now here I am stuck with $750 I'd feel guilty about spending even though they are low grade notes. This is why I do not collect currency as it cost's to much to hold if only for nostalgic reasons.

The oldest bill is 1928, the National Currency but really a first gen Federal Reserve note is 1929. The rest are 1934 series except for 1 1950.

Found this birth note (at least by European date standards the other day) April 24, 2013 1 box left from Friday: a couple of NIFC. I finally got some good boxes today. All 4 had silver and 2 had at least 1 ender. Box 1: 3 enders. 28 40%ers and a blow torched coin that I am pretty sure is 1964 but you can't read the date. Box 2: 2 1964's Box 3: 1 ender. 1 1964 and 4 40%ers. Box 4: a 1901 British, a 1964, 16 40%ers, and my 2nd Barber (not as awesome as my first which was an 1892S was but I'll take what I can get) Since I only have 21 days left before Chase stops taking loose coin I guess it is better to have gone out on an upswing rather than a slump.

Did I ever mention I was famous on the internet? Ever Google a phrase and see 3 out of the first 5 pictures are yours or 6 out of the top 10? A newb asks a question and someone else posts I remember someone had one of those and that person was you? Or someone says it can't be possible as it has never been seen before? Well I am the internet superstar of all of the above. Anyone else own a triple clipped planet partial collar strike? Can I quote myself? Got one of my aliases name dropped twice  If you know my catch phrases or can put 2 + 2 together you can figure it out www.coinworld.com/voices/joe-odonnell/2015/06/how_one_group_isput.htmlHow one group is putting $100,000 in dollar and half dollar coins into circulationMore than three years and $85,000. That’s how long and how strong an effort to put $100,000 worth of dollar and half dollar coins into U.S. circulation has been. I stumbled across a thread on the Coin Community Family forum earlier this week titled, “Project $100K. Circulating Dollar and Half Dollar Coins." Project $100K? Quite catchy. The thread’s originator, a user who goes by cc99999, explains the contest in the very first post: "I propose a Coin Community Forum project called Project 100K where we in the course of regular commerce spend $100,000 worth of golden dollar coins or half dollars. Post here with how many you spent, where, and what if any curious anecdotes you have regarding your transaction." That was posted on April 6, 2012. cc99999 announced in the post he had put the first $17 worth of Sacagawea and Presidential dollars (all AU or below, mind you) into the system: $4 at tolls, $3 on candy for his son, $10 at a movie theater concession stand. Since that first post, there have 4,137 replies, the most recent coming around 8:53 p.m. CT yesterday. User jack jackel spent $4 in dollar coins on lottery tickets, and $15.50 in halves and dollar coins at "the beer store." That $19.50 worth of dollars and half dollars put into circulation brought Project $100K down to Project $14,756.50. That’s right, the thread’s loyalists have put $85,243.50 worth of dollar and half dollar coins into circulation since April 2012. And all of them are accounted for. (It’s like Bitcoin’s block chain, only instead of virtual new-age currency, it’s keeping track of the total opposite.) It’d take me weeks to go through to find all the interesting things that people have exchanged high-denomination coinage for, but here are a few that I’ve come across: CelticKnot: "2 Prez for peaches at a fruit stand in Fredericksburg, TX" (June 3, 2015) Garoyn: "$2 Sacagawea--cafeteria; cashier laughed, but took ‘em" (June 2, 2015) jack jeckel: "Dropped 350 in dollar coins on Sears, Roebuck, & Co paying my credit card bill." (Dec. 14, 2014) Zoran: "Went to Denny's with my wife for breakfast; coffee is usually decent there but this time it was terrible. Left a $4 tip in halves." (May 18, 2014) argentum: "$3 for a couple of bottles of beer from the grocery store after a graduation celebration shindig." (May 25, 2013) AllezRoubaix: "2 G$ for a 5 layer burrito at Taco Bell, a glorious mess of nacho cheese, beef, sour cream, and refried beans, so unhealthy though." (March 11, 2013) 1967Canadapenny: "$22.00 On an e string for my violin" (Nov. 8, 2012)

I only rim searched the box from Tuesday that had the 3 enders because I was at work. I finally went through each coin individually and found 3 more 40%ers I had missed. 2 boxes today. 1 was a skunk. The other had 3 enders including a Franklin. 7 40%ers, 4 1964's, and 12 Franklins a couple of which were high AU if not UNC.

Birth notes. If you were born in 1972 in early September or on the 9th of the first months of the year depending on how you read it. 4 boxes yesterday. 1 clad proof and a 1969 40% silver proof. I had off today so while dumping at a few banks I stopped by my emergency backup bank who stocks a box but I can never make it there on weekdays because of their hours and I only have 1 Saturday a month off. The box had 1 ender. Ended up with 5 1964's and 4 40%ers.

Stupid Chase Since they took out their coin counters today is the first week of my scaled back searching. I only got 2 boxes from them for the week instead of 4 Monday and 4 Thursday. Box 1 had an ender. 8 40%ers including a 1970 proof, a Walker, 2 lowballs, an enhanced bicentennial, and a 2015 Box 2 had 6 40%ers, a lowball, and a 2015. I am positive both of these boxes came from the same dump. If I could have had my normal 4 boxes today I am sure the other 2 would have been just as good. And in case I would have missed any today there is a chance they would have showed up with the no longer Thursday batch

Picked these up at tonight's coin club meeting. Bownie camera pics can be deceiving but those look to be 'mint'! 1 and 1/8 lbs worth. I would have bought more but the guy only brought so many with him and other members wanted to buy a couple so I let them go first and this was all he had left.

You soft hearted schlep; this is why you are stuck in that dead end job! Stand up for yourself and buy the bulk and leave the rest for the other guys! So this haul is about silver value and not the coin's collector value then?
