That early 1-cent piece is one of the few I don't yet have an example of. They are quite $$$ now, even for complete crap examples.
Three sets that I think are accessible (price-wise) and (IMO) quite fun to collect are (1) Hard Time tokens from the USA, (2) Canadian Colonial Tokens and (3) French revolution tokens. YMMV

I was cleaning up some stuff trying to find the watch stand I know I have somewhere and I came across my long lost 1794 large cent I had been missing for at least 3 years if not longer.
1794 Large Cent "Apple or Rosie Cheeks" variety
VG-8 condition but unfortunately has porous surfaces and some verdigris
This is common for a lot of EAC's as they had been lost and become buried over the last 200 years.

That is awesome! I was working my way through a collection to include at least one example of each US coin put into circulation, and fell off at some point before getting to that first cent and half-cent. I was/am hoping to add a Fine (F12) clean, certified, non-"Details" example... at some point. Here are my current oldest US cent and half cent: EDIT: Pics cropped so they show bigger:

I thought I had pictures of my Dansco 7070 album somewhere but I don't.
The Whitman type set album has more spots for older coins and a few more transitional varieties but neither one has holes for them all.
You can grab a Red Book and make a full list of all varieties such as the 3 different silver trimes if you wanted to collect the whole set.
