Many of us agree, that the 6309 & 6105, are a couple of the common Seiko iconic divers. Do you feel there are any non divers, that are also iconic?

Peter, you're being a bit broad...don't you think? Give me something specific, like we did with the divers.

Peter, you're being a bit broad...don't you think? Give me something specific, like we did with the divers. That's because mentioning a specific model of GS or Bell-Matic will probably not have everyone agreeing. GS is iconic because it represents Seiko's finest. Of all the models, the 1964 Grand Seiko Chronometer is probably the one I would pick as the most iconic. Picture borrowed from Harry's Vintage Seiko Blog ... vintageseikoblog.blogspot.ca/search/label/1964Bell-Matics are iconic because they are the only automatic alarm watches that Seiko made(Credor is modern and isn't really iconic). It would be tough to pick an individual model.

I think that a number of the 7A28s are iconic . . . maybe not to the level of say a Pogue or a bullhead but they are great 80's watches. After all, they are the basis for the Alien models which are some very sought after watches. My two choices would be: The 7049 Sports 100 and its Titanium big brother the 7089

..........make a row of links for the bracelet today in the workshop and now fits a treat Dude when you spent a fair few years of your life making car panels from bits of sheet metal a bracelet doesn't seem so hard Oh and in the UK we call the 'english wheeling machine' ... a 'wheeling machine'. When I was in Indonesia on walk about years ago I came across a guy who had a hut full of 'tropical fish' which I too kept here in the UK. I said 'oh cool you have tropical fish' and he answered 'we just call them fish' Anyway here's the link to my links! (still need final finishing off but had money paying work to complete): wristsushi.proboards.com/thread/4813/find-hard-bracelet-links-make

no 6138-7000? I've never owned one. They don't seem real to me. Plus they're so rare they start to fall into "unicorn" status for me.
