Just got the new leather strap from George in Greece and it is great! Will take the sarb017 to my watchmaker to remove the bracelet,as it is a very tight fit and don't want to scratch up the lugs. I think I will order more straps in the future from him. Took 7 days with EMS.

Excellent Thian I knew you would be impressed. Cheers Mark. Hey Mark! I installed the strap on my MMaster and love it! so, I just ordered another from George for the Sarb Alpinist hahaha! The leather quality is superb...supple for a new strap. Puts the OEM Seiko brown leather to shame!

Nice! I met Herbie Hancock in the 1980s when he was in the charts with Rockit. I was in a band at the time and we were playing at a venue with a load of other groups when Herbie Hancock came back stage and just started talking shop. One of the best days of my life and super nice guy. What you need is a turntable like mine a Pink Triangle Tarantella Awesome bit of kit and the sound produced is better than my Kenwood pro turntable!

Many good things came in the mail this week and they all keep time, just not in the manner of fine Japanese time piece. I'd always had a yearning for a Pink Triangle back in the day but more inclined to their original design, I'm hardcore on wooden plinths and suspended sub-chassis. I'm still spinning on an AR-XA, 50 years old and just keeps going and going...(replaced oem arm with a Sumiko MMT in the mid 1980's). I love Herbie. I even forgave him for shilling for Bose. Saw him on the Future Shock tour in NYC. Hot summer night on the west side piers, Steel Pulse was the opener. Even without the cloud of cannabis smoke and the recreational chemicals in my system it was one of the most extraordinary concerts I've ever seen.

This one's being posted tomorrow - Its a full size granite dialled Tag 2000 from the late 80's/early 90's with its original box and spare links. A new set of the correct length hands have been ordered from the US and its a non-runner, so I'll need to see what lurks inside. Worst case scenario is that I'll have to spend £20 on a new movement. Total spend so far is £150 .

Having received my TST makeover from Duarte @ NEWW, there remains one item en-route. I bought an ISO Frane look-a-like from Borealis for a fraction of the cost of the real deal. They're rubber too. www.borealiswatch.com/store/#!/Borealis-Rubber-Strap-22mm-Black/p/39772276

Snagged another unmolested 6138-0011 Yachtman...sat in a drawer since 1986 Purchased with the sole intent to restore and flip as I already own one. Upon it's arrival, I was caught off-guard by it's overall nice condition. This thing is amazing internally, the movement is by far the cleanest that I've ever seen. The dial is absolutely pristine and after a quick cleanup along with a new set of gaskets I find myself torn about letting it go. Here's the seller's auction photo Dial/hand set After a quick ultrasonic bath and a fresh set of gaskets.....(still needs a new crystal)

I sold 3 watches last week and by Tuesday I'd spent it all on these two. Sold as non-running but as soon as I removed the lose seconds hand from the dial on the bullhead it sprung into life, and I have hopes the correct battery and a battery clamp screw will get the Tuna running. Both are with my watch guy so dodgy seller pics will have to do.
