Dang, there are many nice pieces landing soon...I'm jealous. Me too! The only thing I got in the mail this week was a couple of bills and my health insurance packet.

My Vietnam 6139 arrived today. In addition to the very cool connection to a Vietnam vet, it also happens to be a pretty damned nice 6139!

Yeah, she's not too bad. I asked the seller if there was any back story available for this watch. Unfortunately, he said he got it at a Goodwill, but had also wondered about it's wartime past upon seeing the buckle. The inscription and knowing it was a historically significant caliber are what made him decide to "rescue" this watch. Why can't I ever find these at Goodwills?? Oh yeah, because in my neck of the woods all the cool stuff is auctioned on their website. Go to the stores here and it's old jeans and broken VCRS. I am afraid whatever story this watch may have had to tell is lost to the sands of time... Pity.

POLJOT Alarm watch I got this for not heaps, it's in fairly good condition, unfortunately the dial is "ringed" around the hands, but otherwise good. The alarm is like the bell-matic cricket alarm. The movement is a hand winder, marked SU for the Soviet Union here's what they look like inside -
