Found this oddity on the 'bay (sellers pic): Not one I've seen before, looks like either a 5Y or 5H movement and an unusual day/date location, bracelet is original too with an SQ clasp, anyone got any ideas or a catalogue entry for it?

Scratched a long term itch the other day. This SBCM023 showed up as a BIN on YJ about a week ago. I bought the Pepsi version (SBCM025) shortly after they were discontinued and prices went crazy, but what I really wanted was the black version.
The price on this one was good enough that I can sell the Pepsi and completely...or very nearly...cover the cost of purchasing it.
Or, I will end up keeping them both...like I ALWAYS do. This one works, but I hope there are no other malfunctions. 8F35s are a pain in the ass to work on. I see a service receipt from 2017 which I think pertains to the date ring?

Another eBay buy this evening: I think this was the lower spec version of the well known Flightmaster, dates to late 1989 and bar a few scratches to the crystal looks in good condition. The misaligned date wheel has me a little concerned but I'm putting it down to an early starting auto change and keeping my fingers crossed.

Very cool! I've certainly never seen a dial quite like that on a Seiko before.

Neither had I and I'm very much hoping it's all legit, nothing in the fonts looks off just the location of everything isn't where you'd expect it 🤔

Late model serial number corresponds to the JDM dial variety. Very clean, nice case lines and brushing, fully functional, appears unserviced with no watchmaker marks. Got it for a very good price sub $300. That’s a great score!

I have been bird-dogging one of these for quite a while. It is a 7T42-7A10 from 1990. Don't know if it runs, but cosmetically it is quite nice. I personally believe these are desirable only because of their passing resemblance to what I consider to be the mother-of-all-7As, the 7A38-7030. That watch is very hard to find and quite expensive. Hideously expensive even when new, finding a decent one for under $1,000 today would be a pretty good deal.
By contrast, these 7T42s usually sell for around $150-200 at auction. This one...for whatever reason...only went for $72. Nice watches, featuring an all-titanium case and sapphire crystal. Pretty spendy back in '90!

Now that ticks my boxes, nice find 👍

I almost pulled the trigger on one of these earlier this week. Nice!

Last of the expensive ones this week is this 6M15-0020 multifunction, not often one sees one that isn't an Age of Discovery model: Something about that little red airplane on the sweep hand just called out to me, plus the lovely clean condition - let's hope it's as good as it looks when it finally arrived

Citizen 8050 Adorex, for cheap. 8 beat, I suppose the grand daddy of the 8200.

I've got a couple of early 80's Seiko digital quartz watches on their way. I got them on the cheap, and I like retro and/or unique styling. I'll post photos when they arrive.

I have zero 7548s, this will be my first any colour one. It’s a complete shagger and apparently a non-runner but I’ve wanted one for ages and I do enjoy playing with these. I recently serviced a gorgeous 7549 for someone and found it a lovely movement to work on.

I didn’t post when I won the auction as the last two I have ‘won’ at a good price have mysteriously been damaged just after by the seller who couldn’t send it. But I got the shipping confirmation today so I hope I’m not jinxing it.

The only issue I had was that it was clear that someone had been inside before. I look forward to seeing your renovation as it is a good project 7548.

I’m not sure, but maybe just maybe it’s not original 🤔
