Nice! I need to start frequenting pawn shops. Absolutely! I bought a BEAUTIFUL Clebar 3 register chronograph for $250 and ended up selling it for four times that much! i.imgur.com/b3PY2lE.jpgMost pawn shops don't care what the item is actually worth. They just have a profit margin they need to meet on each item so they can keep moving inventory. You can get some great deals!

I'm gonna go against the flow here and say that if you want to treat it as an investment, do NOT wear it. Buy another and wear it out and about. All it will take is one tiny bang against a door frame or, heaven forbid, a spill off a bicycle to send your heart racing over the damage.
Want zero stress and worry over such a beautiful watch? Wear it around the house or to a special occasion, but by all means make sure someone knows the value of it and sock drawer it away all other times.
I love 6105's. Whatever you decide - enjoy!!

I love my 6105 but I dont wear it all the time. I too am afraid of dinging it or scratching it so I'm uber careful when I wear it. The provenance of mine makes it special but I can always get the case re-finished if need be or the crystal replaced if need be!

Dan But once that's done, he won't worry so much about wearing it daily! Well its already got a few bumps and dings. Its not PERFECT, but its in great shape. I'm more worried about breaking something that cant be replaced. Lets say I hit it hard enough somehow that it ruins that stoplight second hand. Granted if I hit it that hard, I would likely have other issues, but the original pieces of this watch are in great shape, and I'd hate to have to replace something with aftermarket.

I have no idea as to what line of work you're in but if you wear it for casual leisure or other mellow times, I think you'd have no chance of getting that hard of a shot to do that kind of damage. I wouldn't personally own a watch that I wouldn't wear. My wife just bought me a Dagaz TII Typhoon which is 1 of 100 but I strapped that sucker on my wrist and wore it for two weeks straight. Granted, I do office work but I did wear it for everything from work to grocery shopping to cooking. I would have taken it off it I had to do some work on the car or cut the grass. In short, use your head and wear it for enjoyment. Just my opinion no matter how wrong it may be! 7dfe79adc2f0

I do IT for a living. Most of the time, its just "desk diving," but, when I'm doing wiring, etc, I usually take my watch off. I just purchased a Speedmaster Pro, so that will likely be my daily for quite a while.

you can enjoy the watch
or you can guard it for the next owner
life is short
i would enjoy it
you may want to search for OEM NOS crystal , gaskets, insert
if you find them buy them
so you have piece of mind in knowing that you are able to replace them if need be

For $20.00 Wait....you bought one for $20?!?!?! I wish! Once in a while, though, somebody finds a deal like that somewhere. I just mean to let your family have an idea of what it's worth so that doesn't happen.

I'd love to get the opinion of other Seiko junkies. I have a 6105-8000 in amazing, all original condition. I have this fear (irrational?) of wearing it. I'm constantly afraid I'll damage or break it. I've seen many 6105's on eBay and forums, and it seems mine is in impeccable shape. This only adds to my fear. I'd hate to ruin something truly special. My biggest fear being that I somehow jar it and ruin the gorgeous lume. Maybe that's not even a risk and I'm just being crazy. Thoughts? So, my question is this. If you guys owned it, would you wear it? Here are some pics! Don't fear to wear it, don't be like me. You've got a spectacular example of that model, and internally you have nothing to worry about. It's a beauty, wear it. Crystals can be replaced, movements can be serviced. Machines are happier when they're running. Run 'em!

There are still some nos original stop light second hands out there..........

I say 'wear it & enjoy it'. Life is to short. I'm don't like the concept of safe queens.
