Wow. Some glorious stuff on show here guys. Keep 'em coming.
Great to see the pocket watches too, very classy. I wonder if donciccio's Dent was made by the same firm that made Big Ben in London ?

First up is a 6105-8000 from June '68. Bought from a fellow WIS who told me that Jack at IWW relumed the hands & dial for him in a way that didn't look too 'new'. I think he's done a superb job that my poor photography skills can't really do justice to. The lume has a slight green tinge to it & glows like it's radioactive at night. One of the favourites in my collection. Hey! My 6105-8000 is only a few thousand units away from yours - 8616466!

You & I share the same birth month & year & your Bell looks to be in much better condition than me. Closest I've got to a birthday watch is a 7005-8050 from August '69. For some reason I've got quite a few watches from '71 & am amazed how many that catch my eye on the Bay are from that year. I wonder if Seiko ramped up production in '71 or whether it's just coincidence.

Some rubbish shots of my two elder statesmen . . . could anyone please confirm production dates according to the serial numbers for me ? I was under the impression the 6105 was from '68 and the Sportsmatic, forgotten entirely, oops. Looks to me like your 6105 was born in March 1970 & the Sportsmatic in February '68. First two letters of the serial no. denote the year & month so if you know the decade the watch is from, dating them is pretty easy. Fairly sure the Seiko production date calculator is now on the forum in the tech section. Two very fine pieces you have there Dawg. Thanks to all for sharing.

Thanks heaps Shed Man, not sure how I arrived at '70 for the 6105 but got it now, as for the Sporty, the extra digits had me even more bamboozled, really appreciate the help mate, cheers.

I think this must be my oldest, can't verify the exact date as I can't get the case back off, but I think 1962/3. A good part of my collection is 1960s My birthday watch, Feb 1965:

Some great stuff here! My oldest Seiko is a 1961 Cronos Sea Horse, followed closely by my 1962 Champion Alpinist. Oldest non-Seiko is this 1926 Bulova:
