Good day today. These came in and are now part of the collection. Excuse the bad pics.
6101-8589 running good, but in need of a new/better bezel.
and a 6306-7001 (first one for me) running great just needs a new crystal.

Picked up a 20-dollar Seiko Chess Timer this morning. I like the battery meter on the back! I used to play chess a lot, but not lately. Still, it's always nice to have Seiko "accessories"! - Thomas .

I actually built a chess clock in the old high school days, we played a lot. During the whole Bobby Fisher/Boris Spasky craze.

Well ... if anyone has a source for parts let me know! You probably know this Pipster but nearly all the parts of the 5645A can be scavenged from cheaper 56XX series watches in a pinch.

I think I have a 56xx parts watch somewhere if pip needs something in particular. Edit: Oh, cosmetic parts. I can't help there.

Never know what Iβll find until I start dismantling and inspecting the movement.

hello WS, I continue my journey in the lands of cheap dress watches from end 60es, early 70es π I found another 6106-7440 from 1970. my wife liked a lot the one I restored before, so i'll do this one for her but I find it a little too much on the "man side", so I also bought a similar one, a little smaller. the 6106-8420, also from 1970 next, I found this quite commonly designed 6106-7520 but I couldn't resist to this blue dial and it is my birth year. then, with the little money remaining on my proxy account, I get this 6106-7000 from 1967 in very poor conditions. I want to experiment a little with heavy dial restorations. BTW, if any of you knows good sources of information or tutorials... I need to document as much a I can. finally, I think I have material enough to spend time during my holidays π
