Damn! Customs got me again. They asked me to come to their office as the sender (Zenmarket) made 'unvollständige Zollinformationen'. So I printed them out (five pages) - btw. exactly the same five page that are attached to the package - and will visit custom's office tomorrow.
Go there, give them the papers, pay 'Einfuhrumsatzsteuer' and then wait until your number is called. Then go inside where they will hand you the package - but you have to unpack it in front of their eyes so that they can make sure there are no drugs or protected animals or whatever inside.
The package will contain a dozen smaller packages from a dozen conscientious Japanese watch sellers who packed their watches very safely. And I will make it very sure that none of them will get damaged while unpacking them. I guess two or three minutes per package will be required. Let's see how long it will take me (and them)...

How "Gestapo" of them.
Can you use a pocket knife to open the packages or do they confiscate that too?
Absurd.

I've been watching for one of these ever since I got that hybrid fake/6309 watch...
There was a fellow on WUS Seiko or maybe it was TOF who did one of these a few years ago and I've wanted one ever since.
My biggest worry is that the 'dead battery' really is the problem and I will find it hard to destroy a vintage MM watch It has a V142 movement so maybe I can just find a new stem and use the whole works in the hybrid. That way I can always restore the original to it's former self.
I don't have access to TOF or WUS but would love it if someone could hunt down that watch and post it for me...

You don't have access? What did you do to be so effectively banned that you can't even access those sites? 😮

I was just complaining about how hard it was to find this bracelet, and that I'd never see one for my second bellmatic, and then this guy popped up on ebay!

Another 8222-7000 incoming, sellers pic. Described as non-working. Worth a punt I thought for £17 shipped.

The second blue Obris Morgan rubber strap arrived today so I contacted them to pay. They sent it to replace the first that didn't turn up for over a month.

Very cool little watches. I wore my 8229-703B today. It has become one of my favorite grab-and-go watches.
