Won this one this morning. Know nothing of this movement, but it was under $20 and I got hooked by the blueish dial. Rob

6138-3005 unpolished case, original bracelet, new crystal mounted on its way. Wonderful unrestored piece. I think rather under appreciated given what I paid. Damn, I tried bidding on this, but my bids were rejected by eBay (due to the stupid eBay Global Shipping Program, even though they list my country as one of those that they CAN ship to, and they quote the shipping costs...). Oh well, on a positive note, it was now a bit cheaper for you. Enjoy, it looks like a good one!

Nobody bid until the last hour or so. I saw the potential and wanted it for my collection of 6138โs Iโve assembled. Iโm sorry but know itโs gone to a good home and should I have an itch to sell it, youโll be the first I contact. But donโt wait around ๐

I assure you thereโs the 6138 best bracelet in the ultrasonic cleaner ๐ Cleaned and rinsed. Movement with no service marks.

I assure you thereโs the 6138 best bracelet in the ultrasonic cleaner ๐ Cleaned and rinsed. Looks like there's about 50 years of wrist secretions in that ultrasonic. Seeing as most people never clean their bracelets, that sounds about right.

I did a little hand polish on the bright work of the 6138. Really chuffed about the case condition. No dings, nice sharp lines, brushing in great shape. If only sellers would clean them up and highlight in photos things would sell for more. But better for us.

I'm thinking I need to stop, IIRC, this makes #5 with a blue dial...but the OEM braclets a plus. Lunch money. 6309-7159. I lost the last couple of these to some really crazey money...like insane. Seller's pic:

It's a little rough, and that's exactly what I was looking for - 7549-7010. I'm going to leave the insert as-is because I like the wear, having a hard time trying to decide whether to get a sapphire (non-ar) or am replacement crystal (hardlex). I normally like to keep crystal replacements hardlex/original material, but since this is domed and a scratch magnet, I'm thinking of sapphire. Can anyone offer their opinion on these 2 options?

IMO (and the IMO part is imperative) I like keeping the original mineral/acrylic look on dressy pieces, but on tool watches I would rather have the durability of an AM sapphire replacement. Of course, others may feel differently. Nice find! I too prefer a beat-up/worn-out bezel on a vintage diver. Gives it character.

Sellers pics but got this 3802-7010 for about $40. I'm not to sure if that's the original box might be. Looks really clean so took the gamble.

I have one of Spencer's AM hardlex crystals on mine. After perhaps 4 years there are no nociable scratches on it. I don't wear my watches hard though. That one will clean up nicely.
