I’m thinking it’s fishy because of that case back. Also, I don’t think a two-piece sweeper belongs on a B movement, but I could be wrong. What are the first two digits of the serial? The serial is 112884, I really not sure if it's the actual case back to be honest. Apologies for it being upside-down I can't seem to rotate images on my phone. Jan 71 is appropriate for a B movement, but I’m not sure on the sweeper. Only way to know for sure on the dial is to get a look at its back side.

I'll ask for photos of the back side of the dial when it goes for a service, what would I be looking for? is there a code or something.

The 6139 looks like it has an aftermarket bezel and bracelet. The dial and hands look genuine but they have been relumed. The Nav looks genuine.

Looks like whomever did the lume was drunk as a sailor or engaged in Left-handed Latvian Rodeo Torture at the time; whatever reason, his/her hands shook worse than mine after a hour doing overhead welding under a dumptruck. Gonna be 3x more work fixing it right than if it'd been left the eff alone. Do you guys have small-lots chroming services available for this kind of stuff (the hands) like we do in the auto restoration trade? mnem Attachments:

This one is on a local auction site. The tachymeter is rotated and the lume looks like new, but I've bought quite a few watches from this seller and no problems so far. It'll probably go too high but... What do you think?

What do you think? I think May '75 is too late for a resist dial but there are more knowledgeable members on these 6139s than I.

Could go here or may the things the piss you off thread. No secret that I'm fond of the 7009's. I get eBay alerts for new listing and will scroll through "Seiko" as time permits. Ran across a listing the other day that has a mix match case back. Doesn't look to be from a Patel work shop or anything, just somehow got swapped. I know what reference/model the case is and back therefore should be like wise the case shape the back came off of. Sent a pretty polite message explaining what I saw and mentioning I'd bed but the bid is way higher then that watch would normally go for, and was told. "I think you're right, thanks a lot" I would have hoped he contacted the high bidder, and imagined at a minimum he would have added the new info to the listing. Just checked in and no mention of the issue?
Not my watch not my listing I'm not bidding but just think it's poor not to disclose the error even if your not going to pull the listing?

Yes you can by using Add Attachment (top right of Reply) but when the platform has reached its capacity, which it appeared to have done, then using a pic hosting site is another option.
Update: The Add Attachment method is still showing the forum has exceeded its pic space.

This 7548-700B is being sold for $250, but have not bought it yet. Wondering if there are any red flags, and if it looks unpolished? Chapter ring is crazy misaligned, but that seems like an easy fix. Never seen that strap on a vintage Seiko, so it might be AM. It looks legit to me and in pretty good condition. I think $250 is a fair price if the watch is running well and has no issues internally.

if the moment runs, the worst thing that can happen, is that the friction at the datewheel is to high to advance to the next day and will stop the movement from running. A good service will solve that.
On the pictures it's hard to see if the bevel is legit. The chapterring shouldn't be a problem, can be corrected when the movement is serviced. Did several of 7548, they are not that hard to service...
