Woman and man killed, two others injured in Milwaukee shooting
The shooting happened at 51st and Center streets just after 12 p.m. Sunday
MILWAUKEE — A 21-year-old woman and 28-year-old man were shot and killed, and two others were wounded in a shooting Sunday afternoon in Milwaukee, police said.
It happened shortly after noon Sunday near 51st and Center streets.
In addition to the two people killed, a 23-year-old sustained non-fatal gunshot injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment. Another unidentified man sustained life-threatening gunshot injuries and arrived at an area hospital for treatment.
Milwaukee police said the shooting appears to be domestic violence-related and related to a fight where all the victims exchanged gunfire with other unknown people.
Witnesses said they heard a heated argument before the shooting broke out.
Three of the people shot were taken into custody, along with a 25-year-old. Milwaukee police are also still looking for other people involved in the shooting.
A WISN 12 News photojournalist at the scene said he saw more than 40 bullet casings on the ground.

Don't let "Brown Deer" fool you.
You can name your fake ass "suburb" that is 5 blocks from the Milwaukee border on the Northside whatever you want (including Glendale) and it doesn't all of a sudden become impenetrable by Northsiders cuz there is an imaginary line drawn in the asphalt.

Shooting at Brown Deer Walmart leads to arrest, officials report no injuries
Police are not sure if anyone was hit in the vehicle the shooter targeted.
BROWN DEER, Wis. — A fight at the Brown Deer Walmart led to gunfire in the parking lot, police confirmed Friday evening.
In an emailed statement, a police spokesperson officers got the call about a "fight in progress" around 3:18 p.m., and as officers were responding, the call was upgraded to say someone was shooting in the parking lot just west of 60th and Brown Deer Road.
The statement said gunfire hit a vehicle occupied by some of the people involved in the fight. That vehicle left the scene, police said.
"It is unknown at this time if there were any injuries to those in the vehicle," Sgt. Lea Olsen said in the statement.
Not long after the shooting, Sgt. Olsen said officers arrested a suspect in a neighborhood just north of the Walmart near North Goldendale Dr. and West Silver Brook Lane.
Brandi Raglan said she didn't see or hear any police in her neighborhood this afternoon. She was shocked to find out that's where the suspect was found: "That's terrifying to know that something like that actually came this close."
It is unclear what, if any, connection the person has to the Walmart. Sgt. Olsen said the person and the intended shooting targets knew each other.
The Walmart was closed its doors to shoppers as police documented the scene with evidence markers. Yellow crime tape surrounded the grocery entrance on the east side of the store.
"I'm surprised because I've never seen any shootings over here at this Walmart. I haven't had any problems over here at all. Me and my wife come here all the time," a witness said.
The business reopened around 5:15 p.m.
Walmart Corporate told 12 News Friday night: "The safety of our associates and customers is our top priority. We are working closely with local law enforcement during their investigation and refer any additional questions to them."

My nephew and his wife were looking for a new apartment last years. Pickings in a solid nice neighborhoods are slim. They kept emphasizing that they were nearly two blocks from the bad part of the west side... You know NEARLY two blocks is well, not much...His folks were having kittens at the thought...So Far So Good

My bud lived at his brother's house during the pandemic. His brother, a hipster, bought a place in the worst part of town - for a song, apparently - he figures it'll be worth money one day. He said the area had improved - but during the pandemic he took off to the family beach house out east. Anyway, I asked my bud what it was like living there. He said he heard shootings every night, and he heard people die. But you know, that stuff was happening a block away - in every direction - so I guess he was in the "safe" part, since it wasn't happening next door.
It's kinda weird - you end up knowing where the crummy parts of town are and you just don't go there, or if you have to drive through them to get where you need to be, you stay alert and drive quickly. And hope you're not unlucky, because it's kinda difficult to drive faster than a random bullet fired by some guy just popping off.
Which reminds me of something from years ago. My wife and I, newlyweds, moved North to Boston. Boston is a really safe city, but there are pockets that are not good. We were looking for cheap apartments, and were driving around in a red convertible. We pulled into one neighborhood where an apartment was. I saw a cop and asked him what the neighborhood was like. He said "If you move here, you'll be shot." So we moved to the North End instead, which was still mostly Italian then. In the time we lived there, there was only one hit - and since it was a hit, everyone else was completely safe. A woman could walk around alone in that neighborhood at 2Am and be completely safe. I really liked Boston.

A new hire that didn't work, came in in time his first day with his cheek all bandaged up. He gave me paper work from the hospital saying he was okay to work. Seems he was hit by a stary from a road rage as he was driving home...

If they can't miss hitting a bus going 100MPH on a side street in a stolen Kia or Hyundai running a red light what do you think they will do to you?
At least someone in the offending vehicle died.
Hopefully next time they all go.
2 in 2 days.
Stay off the Northside.
