Feel free to move this to the Blue Room if it gets too real.
Every place anyone lives has a "Northside".
Maybe it is only one trap house, maybe it is only only 1 rental duplex, maybe it is only 1 low rent "multifamily building (I use the word "Family" loosely), maybe it is a couple of blocks of low rent housing duplexes, maybe it is a multiblock rental complex, maybe it is a square mile or more where you know not to go after dark.
But now the "Northside" has spread to broad daylight.
Anyone else grow up on the Northside?
Rep your hood.

Darn shame that puppy just got hijacked for what could very well be an unthinkable life ahead of him.
We microchip our pets and in fact we raised money to buy our town microchip scanners for the animal control trucks so lost pets didn't have to get run through the paces of going to the shelter for an overnight or 10 and possibly getting traumatized etc. We even ran a FREE microchip clinic for 8 years twice a year to get the awareness going. We chipped over 500 pets.
I know my post has next to nothing to do with neighborhoods and the Northside etc but that darn dog's story bums me out.

All joking aside it's terrible that people are willing to kill others for dogs, shoes, etc. and when caught give up their freedom to sit in a cell for it. None of it is worth it.
Thanks cd_god - I'll keep off the Northside

Man charged in deadly pedestrian crash at 35th and Lisbon
MILWAUKEE — A 27-year-old Milwaukee man was charged with homicide by negligent operation of a vehicle after prosecutors say his reckless driving led to the crash that killed a 39-year-old pedestrian at 35th and Lisbon last Tuesday.
Charles E. Jackson was also charged with carrying a concealed weapon. His bond was set at $10,000 on Monday. The maximum sentence for the charges he faces is more than 10 years in prison.
A criminal complaint states that surveillance video from Lisbon Avenue shows a Chrysler going northbound on 35th and then entering the intersection despite a red light. The vehicle then crashes into a Nissan driving on the green light.
Just before the impact of the vehicles, video shows a pedestrian standing near the intersection. The Chrysler crashes into the Nissan, both vehicles spin and the Chrysler strikes the pedestrian, who is "thrown in the air," according to prosecutors.
First responders pronounced the victim dead at the scene of the crash.
During an interview with police, Jackson admitted he was the driver of the Chrysler. He claimed to police he was rushing home because he was concerned a family member was going to commit suicide. He claimed he had the green light.
Police said they found ecstasy pills and a small amount of marijuana on him.
The airbag module in his car revealed the vehicle was going 47 miles per found prior to the crash, the complaint states.
Police said they found a pistol in the bag on the driver's seat with additional magazines.
The medical examiner previously identified the victim as Yolanda L. Baxter.
The driver of the second vehicle, a 30-year-old Wauwatosa woman, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Just three days earlier, and three miles away, Gerald Newton, 72, was killed while standing at the corner of 20th and Burleigh.
Jackson's preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 17.

Don't let the "Wauwatosa" suburb name fool you.
And don't let any "Fox News" links fool you.
ALL of the news and newspaper outlets here suck from the Liberal teet so as not to loose any market share.
It's just that the Fox links are the only one still up after on the interweb a week later when the truth comes out and it no longer fits the Lamestream Medias agenda when the truth comes out that their sympathetic "he was going to be a lawyer or a doctor poster boy shot by the police" turns out to be a career criminal with a rap sheet 3 pages long by age 17.
You aren't safe anywhere here unless you are 20 or more miles outside of Milwaukee County.
"Mayfair Mall which is the new Northridge since it is on the 21 bus route up North Ave the main corridor from the Northside. "
"No matter how far from the Northside you are if you go to a Burger King in Milwaukee County you get the same shitty service as if you were on the Northside."
This happened across the street from Mayfair Mall (the NEW Northridge Mall after they got looted out of existence 20 years ago)
And they both just happen to be on North Ave the main corridor for Northsiders from the straight up hood to traverse to better places to steal from.
Unfortunately TNXJ is on the second worse Northsider corridor on the other side of the county line.
Wauwatosa Radisson Hotel shooting video released
WAUWATOSA, Wis. - Body camera video shows a shooting at the Radisson Hotel Nov. 6, 2021, that left three Wauwatosa police officers injured.
Bullet holes marked an entire hotel hallway, but no one was killed.
Despite the danger they faced, the injured officers were not thinking of themselves. They were more concerned about their colleagues and the innocent people still inside the hotel.
On that November night, someone inside Room 221 refused to come out, with officers unknowingly in the line of fire.
Captain Luke Vetter was working the Command Center.
Officers responded to a shootout between two teenagers in a hotel hallway. They would later learn the teens left the scene. Unknown to police, a third person armed with a gun was hiding in a room.
Police began going door-to-door in the hotel.
"We came across dozens of people that were hunkered down, terrified," said Captain Vetter.
One person told police they were "about to take a shower" when a round came through the door.
Officers found several bullet casings on the second floor. They checked one more room, which led to gunfire.
Sgt. Kurt Svatek, Sgt. Edward Tyrpak and Officer Matthew Martell suffered gunshot wounds. One officer had hand and leg injuries, another had injuries to both legs and the third had leg and foot injuries.
They returned fire, retreating to safety as backup arrived.
Sgt. Svatek was hurt, but concerned for his colleagues.
"No, I'm fine. Deal with him," said Svatek.
Even while receiving medical attention, the officers didn't stop trying to help.
"Kurt, there was a girl across the hallway," said an officer.
"I know. We have to get her out," said Svatek.
"It’s unbelievable to me, the composure that they had," said Vetter.
Another vantage point shows the exchange of gunfire. Fifteen minutes after bullets went flying, Kenneth Burney, 33, surrendered.
He's standing trial on 10 charges, including three counts of attempted first-degree intentional homicide.
All three of the injured officers recovered and have returned to work.

13-year-old charged as adult in deadly Wauwatosa hit-and-run
WAUWATOSA, Wis. (CBS 58) -- A 13-year-old boy is being charged as an adult in a deadly hit-and-run in Wauwatosa.
It happened last week outside the Holiday Inn Express near North Avenue and Mayfair Road.
Police identified the woman killed as 47-year-old Sunita Suratu Balogun-Olayiwola.
Balogun moved to the U.S. from Nigeria 15 years ago. She was killed on Oct. 14.
Wauwatosa police say she'd been found sleeping in her Jeep last month.
On Oct. 14 she was at a restaurant when she spotted some teens breaking into a car at the Holiday Inn Express.
The complaint says one of the teens implicated in the attempted theft told police they came to Tosa with the intent to steal a vehicle. They busted out a window, but were scared off.
Balogun rushed over from across the street to tell hotel security.
Security told police, and moments later, she got into her Jeep.
Not long after, police say Balogun caught up with the group, got out of the vehicle and confronted them.
Police say during the confrontation, the 13-year-old -- identified as Jayden Adams -- got past Balogun, hopped into the driver's seat, punched her in the face, then kicked the door into her face. She fell, he hit the gas and ran her down. He then picked up his friends and they took off.
“It's a tragic event. Not only is it tragic, it shocks the conscience. It also tests the safety that one might feel in their community,” said Wauwatosa Police Cpt. Jack Morrison.
“We also want to extend our condolences, our sincerest condolences to the victim's family and we hope that today with this announcement that there is some closure that they can work towards when it comes to this tragic case."
Police say after her death, the teen used her credit card to purchase items at a Walmart. Contributions to this story also made by: CBS 58 Newsroom

Wauwatosa police release video from officer-involved shooting at Mayfair Mall
WAUWATOSA -- Wauwatosa police released on Friday, Feb. 7 video related to the officer-involved shooting that led to the death of a 17-year-old male identified by family as Alvin Cole.
They were gunshots that changed the lives of all those involved, including Cole.
"Anytime a police officer feels compelled to use deadly force, the sense of security of a city and police department is turned upside down," said Wauwatosa Police Chief Barry Weber. "We extend sympathy to the family of the man that died."
Police said it started Sunday, Feb. 2 around 5:40 p.m. when someone spotted a man with a fanny pack carrying a gun inside Mayfair Mall. After spotting the suspect outside, new dash camera video shows police trying to catch him -- but it wouldn't take long.
As officers approach a group of people at the mall, the group begins to run. Officers pursued on foot and in squads.
Officials say the video shows the suspect running from police -- along with two other persons. Officers shout "drop the gun, drop the gun." Moments later, a single gunshot is heard on the dashcam video -- fired by the suspect, officials say. Officers continued to shout "drop the gun now" -- and that is followed by a series of five gunshots. Cole was struck by gunfire.
Police said the first shot came from Cole and, after 10 seconds, a Wauwatosa police officer fired back five times.
"What is clear and not a matter of dispute is that the deceased fired his weapon before the police officer fired theirs," said Wauwatosa Police Chief Barry Weber.
Authorities found a 9mm semi-automatic handgun next to Cole and an extended magazine with 35 rounds in his bag. The crime lab discovered a spent shell casing inside the chamber of that gun.
"They shot my baby," said Tracy Cole, Alvin's mother. "My heart just went inside my body because, I said, this can't be happening."
On Feb. 3, Cole's mother shared the heartache the situation has caused their family; they want to learn whether the officer's actions will be justified.
Officials say officers on the scene immediately began to treat the suspect for his injuries. Cole later died.
The officers involved in this incident were placed on administrative leave, per policy. Milwaukee police, per policy, are leading the investigation. When completed, it will be handed over to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office to see if any criminal charges will be filed. An attorney for the Cole family said the family will not be commenting any further until the investigation is over.

No.
It's actually the 2000's Infiniti G35 or any stolen Kia or Hyundai.
A guy at work was trying to sell his Infiniti G35 on Facebook marketplace and all of these Northsiders were messaging him and when he clicked their pages they were all holding AK47's and pistols and bags of weed and had gold teeth.
He had to take his ad off after 3 weeks of that shit since it showed where he lived.
Suspects drive through Milwaukee high school campus: video
MILWAUKEE - Caught on video, at least three cars were seen speeding around a Milwaukee high school's campus.
Police said cars drove across Milwaukee Marshall High School near 64th and Hope around 3 p.m on Tuesday, Aug. 17. Police said the drivers came close to striking a number of students as they drove around the lawn and sidewalks.
It did not appear anyone was hurt.
Police later recovered one car, which they said was stolen, but are still looking for the suspects.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Milwaukee Police Department at 414-935-7272; to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 414-224-TIPS or use the P3 tips app.
Video captures teen driving on sidewalks near middle school
MILWAUKEE —
Milwaukee middle school kids had to dodge a reckless teen driving on sidewalks and cutting off cars Tuesday.
The driver of a silver Hyundai went on a reckless tear during dismissal at Wedgewood Park International School on Tuesday afternoon.
"He just came, went around, drive crazy, crazy, crazy, crazy," Kayla Sanchez said.
Sanchez was picking up her 12-year-old nephew. She said it was a close call for him.
"They were driving fast and swerving all on the grass, and he had to move. He dropped his laptop and everything because he thought he was gonna have to lunge to the ground," Sanchez said.
In a cellphone video, people can see the passenger hanging out of the window.
The parent who took the video was just sitting in her car waiting to pick up her child when she watched the driver race past her, so she took out her phone to record it.
"They were weaving in and out between the buses and the cars, and I was so worried they were going to hit a kid," a parent said.
This parent, who didn't want to be identified, believes the driver and passenger are classmates of her middle schooler and reported them to police.
"What do you make of a 13- or 14-year-old, we're seeing it across the city?" WISN 12's Hillary Mintz asked.
"It's disheartening," the parent said.
She's fed up and wants the kids to be held accountable.
"What does that say for the future of kids in general that they think it's OK to act like that and have no regard for the lives of other kids and other adults?" the parent said.
"What do you make of all this?" Mintz asked Sanchez.
"It's nonsense. This is a middle school. This is a high school. They're making this experience for these younger kids scared to go to school," Sanchez said.
Police told WISN 12 three 14-year-old Milwaukee boys were arrested but haven't found the car yet.
No one was injured in the incident.
MPS issued a statement to WISN 12 saying, "Milwaukee Public Schools understands the concern around reckless driving happening around the city. The district continues to implement safety measures throughout school sites including, but not limited to, staggered dismissal times for students and installing safety barriers to deter this behavior in our school communities. We are also continuing to work with city leaders and local authorities to help address this community issue and maintain a safe learning environment for our students and staff."
In the first three months of the year, children's court has reported more than 100 cases related to kids in stolen cars and reckless driving.
South side isn't much better.
Maybe we need a Stay Off The Southside thread.
Shooters leave 50+ bullet holes in homes, cars
Miraculously, Milwaukee police say no one was injured in Tuesday morning's shooting.
MILWAUKEE —
Milwaukee police are trying to find the people responsible for unloading a stream of gunfire Tuesday morning leaving more than fifty bullet holes in windows, homes and cars.
The gunfire erupted at 11:19 a.m. near South 5th Place and West Becher Street, according to a news release.
While no one was injured, police said, one car on the street had at least 30 numbered evidence stickers next to bullet holes.
"They shot for about five minutes straight," one woman who didn't want to be identified said Tuesday afternoon.
The woman said she looked out and saw two shooters: a man and woman.
"I just froze, I panicked," she said. "I never seen that. You only see stuff like that in movies, you know? It's just crazy."
The news release indicated police had not identified any suspects.
Although no one was physically injured, the level of violence hit a nerve.
"It's just crazy. This violence got to stop. Somebody has to do something about this," the woman said.
Milwaukee police officials said anyone with any information to help detectives should call Milwaukee police at 414-935-7360 or to remain anonymous, Crime Stoppers at 414-224-Tips.

Too soon to say "Silly Crackaz, stay off the Northside" but I am usually prophetic about these things.

Or maybe it was just another day in the hood.

Shit ain't safe for anyone any time of day.
Member of 'Kia Boys' accused of pointing gun at police officer
Antonio Carter, who was out on bail, was arrested
MILWAUKEE — Prosecutors say the "Kia Boys" have been stealing cars and firing off guns near 37th Street and Meinecke Avenue.
They even targeted an officer, working to stop the crime.
According to new court documents, the block "has had consistent issues with the 'Kia Boys.'"
It's why last Thursday a Milwaukee police officer was speaking with neighbors.
In the complaint, that's when the officer said a red Kia sped right at him with the passenger wielding an "automatic weapon."
Prosecutors said 19-year-old Antonio Carter, aimed the long gun at the officer in uniform just 20 feet away.
The officer also noted the driver pointed a "black firearm with an extended magazine at him," so the officer drew his service weapon, but the car took off.
A short time later, the Kia returned, and officers gave chase.
At roughly "90 miles per hour" into "wrong lanes of travel," the Kia eventually crashed at 24th Street and Fond du Lac Avenue, the documents say.
Three people inside made a run for it. Officers caught Carter along with his AR-15 style pistol and a semi-automatic handgun with no serial numbers.
When detectives questioned Carter, he admitted the car was stolen and that "he handled the firearm as everyone was passing it around in the vehicle" but denied pointing the gun at officers.
Carter was out on bail at the time of this incident in two open felony cases.

"You only going to like three weeks. It’s a misdemeanor," one said in the video.
As a law abiding citizen you bust a cap in some armed thugs ass who has a rap sheet 20 pages long who is pointing a gun at you while stealing your car and you have to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars defending you life yet some piece of shit with nothing to lose goes through life with a golden ticket free card.
Kia Boys YouTube documentary, Milwaukee police call it 'disturbing'
MILWAUKEE - Milwaukee police say they are looking into what they call a "disturbing" YouTube video about the "Kia Boys." The video shows teens in Milwaukee recklessly driving a stolen car. At one point, they tell the camera it's going to be a bloody summer.
Tommy Gerszewski, known as "Tommy G" on YouTube, posted his Kia Boys documentary Tuesday, May 31. He said he wanted to give the Kia Boys a chance to tell their story. At least one reckless driving advocate worries it could make other teens want to join them.
"Today, I'm going boots on the ground, covering a notorious group of kids: the Kia Boys," said Gerszewski in the video.
In the 16-minute video posted on YouTube, Gerszewski spends time with the Kia Boys.
"Do you see people running for their life up there, dude?" said Gerszewski in the video.
Several teens show him their typical afternoon.
"Just another Tuesday for you," said Gerszewski in the video.
"Initially, I was kind of disgusted because it seemed to make just a big joke of the whole thing," said Jordan Morales, VP of the Sherman Park Community Association.
Morales lives in Sherman Park and has been an advocate for safer streets in Milwaukee. He worries the video makes stealing cars look cool. A Milwaukee man was killed after speeding in a stolen car early Tuesday.
"I think it glorifies it, you know," said Morales. "Obviously, the host of that documentary was laughing along with them and making jokes and stuff like that."
As for whether the video glorifies the Kia Boys, Gerszewski had this to say: "I think you could ask that about any tough question you have to do, like the war on Ukraine, abortion, school shooter. When you talk about a school shooter, there’s likely to be another one. That’s just how things work because of being notorious, but at the end of the day, I’d rather talk about something, shed light on it. I gave them the opportunity to show humanity or to respond. I asked them tough questions, and they kind of revealed how they felt about it themselves."
The Kia Boys said they expect little punishment if they are caught.
"You only going to like three weeks. It’s a misdemeanor," one said in the video.
They are brazen about violence.
"Stay dangerous. It’s going to be a bloody summer. A lot of (expletive) are going to die," one said in the video.
It's something Gerszewski and Morales hope is seen and heard by city leaders.
"I think this is something that needs to be covered," said Gerszewski.
"This documentary should serve as a valuable piece of intelligence for city leaders to see what the mindset is," said Morales.
Gerszewski said he'd like to see more money spent on programs to give teens positive things to do.
"I mean we spent $500 million on a trolley that no one uses.," said Gerszewski. "I don’t know if we could do a monthly subscription to a gym in the city and have those kids learn stuff that actually makes them confident and strong and secure in themselves and be able to protect others rather than menace others."
Milwaukee police said they are aware of this video. The department's FusionDivision is reviewing the content for a possible criminal investigation.

Rats take over Milwaukee housing complex
WISN 12 News investigated the rat problem at the same place one year ago
MILWAUKEE A Milwaukee neighborhood is being overrun by rats, and residents are desperate for help.
It's the Westlawn Gardens complex on the city's northwest side, the same spot where WISN 12 News investigated a rat invasion last year.
But now, residents there tell WISN 12 News the rat problem is getting worse.
"Here's a big, big hole. Big hole, right there," Westlawn Gardens resident Jordan Westlawn said.
Rat burrows dot the lawns and landscape of Westlawn Gardens housing complex.
"It's a million rats' holes all through here," Jordan said.
Residents such as Jordan say at night, the rats take over, chewing on trash, and even trash cans.
"They eat through the plastic, and it's like a smorgasbord they can enjoy their self with all this leftover garbage and food," Jordan said.
"And it's not just a couple of them?" WISN 12 News Kent Wainscott asked Jordan. "No," she said. "And they're everywhere. They run right across your feet."
Residents recorded videos of what they say is a nightly ritual.
"You see this every night?" Wainscott asked.
"Every night. Every night. You can't come outside your door. You have to close your door to make sure they don't run inside your house," Westlawn Gardens resident Michael Tate said.
It's been exactly one year since WISN 12 News first investigated the rat problem at Westlawn, some of the rodents even surfacing in daylight.
The Milwaukee Housing Authority, which runs the complex, has taken steps since then to try to rid the area of rats.
Residents say that the rat traps that have been placed here have done nothing to alleviate the problem.
"They're worse. They're everywhere," Tate said.
Residents are still hoping for some type of relief from the rats.
"I can't take it no more. I'm about to lose it," Jordan said.
The Milwaukee Housing Authority said it has been canvassing the Westlawn campus monthly for new rat burrows since WISN 12 News first investigated.
"The 75-acre campus of Westlawn Gardens is still an active construction site and the work at construction sites often displaces rodents from their underground homes," said Amy Hall, communications coordinator for the Housing Authority.
It said they've received a handful of complaints this year and will continue to work with residents to address the matter.

Yeah @cd_god, we've got a Northside too, and it's growing. Durham is a pretty nice little city, but parts of it have been getting rough lately.

All joking aside it's terrible that people are willing to kill others for dogs, shoes, etc. and when caught give up their freedom to sit in a cell for it. None of it is worth it.
Thanks cd_god - I'll keep off the Northside
Well, I'd kill others for a dog - my dog, that is. Nobody touches my dogs without going through me.
Yeah @cd_god, we've got a Northside too, and it's growing. Durham is a pretty nice little city, but parts of it have been getting rough lately.
Where’s Inspector George Gently when you need him?

Did you say curfew?
Racine and Kenosha like Waukesha used to be just a "sort of shitty" place to live unlike Beloit which was closer to the state line and Chicago.
Two people shot at Racine funeral after gunfire is sprayed into the crowd, curfew to be enforced
RACINE, Wis. (CBS 58) -- There was mass chaos in Racine Thursday as a funeral service was interrupted by a barrage of gunfire.
No suspects are in custody.
Two people were shot. One victim was treated and released. Another victim was flown to a Milwaukee hospital, their condition is not known.
In response to the shooting, Racine Mayor Cory Mason instructed the police department to actively enforce the juvenile curfew ordinance, meaning anyone under 18 must be home by 11 p.m.
The funeral was being held for Da'Shontay King, who was shot and killed by Racine police in mid-May after he fled a traffic stop. His family was preparing to bury him Thursday when a sustained burst of gunfire sent the crowd running for their lives, interrupting the funeral and emptying the cemetery.
Tre Brantley was playing basketball at a nearby park. He said, "It was a barrage of gunfire, and we can hear bullets whistling past us."
Brantley and his brother dodged bullets and ran for their lives as dozens of shots rang out.
A man across the street thought it sounded like a 21-gun salute.
A young woman nannying an 8-month-old child said it sounded like fireworks. She said, "I wasn’t positive what it was at first, but when I heard the single shots that’s when I knew exactly what happened."
Neighbors say they heard roughly 30 shots in 10 seconds.
The young woman said, "I guess the fight or flight kicked in right away. I just immediately grabbed her and took off."
The funeral party scattered, two people were hit.
Racine Police Sgt. Kristi Wilcox said, "I heard it was mass chaos here. People were running, people just got in cars, and were screaming. I know we got multiple 911 calls that people were shot."
Nearby Ascension All Saints Hospital went on lockdown as a precaution, and all of Graceland Cemetery was taped off.
The casket sat alone in the sun for hours as investigators walked shoulder-to-shoulder, combing the area for shell casings.
Racine police stopped short of saying the shooting was gang related.
Sgt. Wilcox said, "We're asking for calm and no retaliation of any kind. This city has seen enough right now, and we'd like to be able to rest for a little bit."
On the eve of National Gun Violence Awareness Day, the circle of those affected by gun violence widened again.
The fake news liberal media left out the fact that criminals don't give a shit about the law and who they hurt or where they are and how many other people may be in the background or surrounding area.
Guns don't kill people.
Stupid people kill people.
Tre Brantley explained, "My younger brother's mom had told us not to come to Lockwood anymore, and we did. And we will probably not be coming back here."
The Racine Police Department is asking anyone with video of Thursday's shooting to contact them. The department posted:
"If any citizen has any kind of video footage of the incident at Graceland Cemetery, please email Lt. Melby at Chad.melby@cityofracine.org and Sgt. Koepnick at Justin.koepnick@cityofracine.org. They will check their email and contact you regarding your footage. Thank you!"
Messages to Da'Shontay King's family were not returned Thursday.
Nearly four hours after the shooting, his casket was quietly lowered into the grave.
Racine officials sent out the following statement regarding the curfew:
"Today's heinous shooting at a cemetery while a family was already mourning the loss of a loved one is a new low for these perpetrators of violence in our community. The violence has got to stop! Revenge is not the answer. Ending gun violence is the top priority of the police department and my administration. I have spoken to the Governor and Attorney General to request more resources to support violence prevention. I am instructing the police department to actively enforce our juvenile curfew ordinance through the weekend. Anyone under 18 must be home by 11 PM. This violence must end. If you have any information about the horrific events of the today, I urge you to contact the Racine Police Department immediately."
