Then I got an email from Ebay offering me a special limited time 20% discount on top of that. For $267 all-in (with Jay Inslee's internet sales tax ) I thought I would give one a try. You rat bastard I didn't get my coupon and I was *just* saying to myself when I'm gonna get one I have a couple things bookmarked just for that occasion.
I feel you with the Internet sales tax theft. My governor in NJ signed it into law in January 2020 and even my foreign transactions on eBay are taxed. I read in my local paper this morning that the Town is slightly raising property taxes and the State is increasing tolls on the heavily traveled highways. Blood sucking thieves. It's never enough. I can't move to Florida soon enough.
Anyways, I have a Ball watch. A nice chronometer. Quality brand that doesn't get much attention. My father wears it. Enjoy yours.
EDIT: I did get that coupon. I remember now. It was for Memorial Day. There was nothing of interest in the qualifying merchants. I remember searching G-Shocks and the couple things I had bookmarked. I looked just through my deleted mail to double check and saw the coupon
This watch was really the only one that interested me at all, and I paged through LOTS of them. It was a Ball for SKX money, so I figured what the hell. It will be hard to lose too much money if I decide to flip it.
Getting bad here in WA as well. We already have the second highest gas taxes in the country, and now they want a pay-per-mile tax as well. We have internet sales taxes. Legal weed and weed taxes. They raised the taxes on alcohol a few years ago. They have been trying to ram through a state income tax on top of the sales tax we pay. We just voted in a ballot initiative to reduce our car tabs last November. Seattle politicians sued, hoping to get the initiative overturned in court. It's funny, when ballot initiatives produce gun control laws, gay marriage, or legal weed, Seattle says, "Democracy works! The people have spoken!"
But when a ballot initiative produces a tax cut, those same people say, "Democracy is broken! The people are idiots! This is a matter for the courts!"

Citizen Promaster. When someone posted a picture of a Citizen Promaster in a WRUW a while ago, it instantly went on my wish list. 44mm diameter, Eco-drive movement, bold dial and hands with amazing lume? I'm in! I received an alert when this turned up on a for sale site yesterday, and the guy accepted my offer. Hey if you want the original box I think I have one somewhere for it ... Thanks for the offer, but the sale was for the watch in the original "dive tank" packaging! The watch looks like new except for a small mark on the bezel ring near the pip.

Sold two of my CasiOaks which funded both of them plus roughly 40% of the "G-Shock GMW B5000 Full Metal Steel." Found it a little less than $200 off retail shipped from an authorized dealer in Spain.
Always wanted one but never was going to pay $550.00!
I love the squares and this old skool looking metal one is so cool and made in Japan. A little bling Can be dressy or casual.
The GMWB5000D-1 incorporates a super illuminator LED light and solar battery – rendering it capable of self-charging, as well as a special STN LCD. In addition, the timepiece incorporates an upgraded, stylish, full stainless steel housing and DLC screw-back case. Two-way time sync is made possible via Bluetooth Connectivity and the G-SHOCK app, as well as G-SHOCK’s Multi-Band 6 Atomic Timekeeping technology, which provides accurate timekeeping virtually anywhere via radio signals from up to six different transmitters worldwide.

I have one of these. After trying to find a new one when they constantly were sold out, I told myself I would buy one when I could get one for under $300. That happened last November when an only-worn-twice example popped up on Ebay for $295 with free shipping.
Great watch, but it is quite a chunk on the wrist! Fits like my SBBN015 does, which is about as big as I can go on my 6.5'ers.

Wanted to mod my current SRP Turtle that I'm wearing today. I'm not a fan of all the gilded writing on bezel insert and the blingy bezel edge but love the bronze-like case with the black dial. I also don't like the hash marks on both the bezel insert and the chapter ring. It's redundant and busy looking and sorta doesn't line up.
So I searched around about how I can tone it all down, streamline it and make it cool looking. I landed on DLW Watch out of Singapore and picked up a new matte black bezel and black ceramic insert with a pinch of color at the pip. I'm also leaning on a black Crafter Blue fitted strap to go along with the original and the current distressed leather I have on it.
My current watch today ...
What it will look like...

Arrived today. Pretty cool display and classic square design. Neat features and Bluetooth connectivity which I synced to my iPhone. Atomic clock syncing and solar charging.

After nearly 2 months of being stuck at the Tokyo International Airport, this one is showing shipping movement again! Looks like it’ll be worth the wait! I had some arrival from Japan last week or so which means shipping is happening, and allegedly my new tool from China is now in the UK. The good thing about it taking so long is that any C-19 can’t survive that long, so I only have the packaging that may be affected by my local people.

Thanks, pip - I hope so! It’s now made it to the US, so should be here mid-week.
Glad to hear you’re receiving shipping to the UK as well.

I've always been a G-Shock Square nerd. I saw this awesome colored limited edition JDM 90's inspired that ticks off all the features for me like tough solar, multi band 6, and Bluetooth. It is part of a limited series of 5 models released in Japan in 2019. This is the retro square model out of the 5.
They're mostly for sale in Japan and Hong Kong like 50%+ markup from retail. I found a large watch seller from the US on eBay that had one new in the box. I scored this one $20 below retail with a Best Offer. And, he's an authorized retailer.
I sold a few "CasiOaks" that I was able to purchase for $99 retail for $229 on eBay. So with some of the profits, I rolled it into this new G-Shock.
Arrived today Friday 6/18

This was a last-second impulse bid on YJ. My bid was absolutely maxed out...one yen more and it would have belonged to somebody else. No immediate plans for it, but maybe when it arrives I will put it on Ebay to offset some of the shipping costs for it's package-mates from Japan.
Any vintage orange Seiko diver is worth $27 to me.

$27? Superb score! On my phone at the moment so can’t zoom in much, what model is it? 4205?

It is a 2625. From what I understand, basically a battery-powered 2205.

It’s a really good looking piece. I’d happily give you $27.50 for it any day!
