I wasn't really looking for a 7002 as I'd read that they're a minefield for aftermarket parts. Then I stumbled over this 7002-7000 from October '95. Seems legit from what I read. Bezel printing/layout/pip looks ok, lume inside the indices, bit of linen texture to the lume, dial printing looks correct. Fingers crossed...

You certainly remember my last catch with my friend, a batch of 6139's... You remember ? This one... The parcel arrived in France then stopped moving... I contacted the courier after some days, but he had no good news for me... No physical scan after arriving in France, they don't know where it is. My friend in Asia told me they asked him some pictures of the parcel and of the content, so they can continue the investigation...

The seller is also including a Seiko jubilee bracelet which is what this'll end up on (or rubber maybe). Need to look into what was correct for these...

Flat vent rubber DAL1BP any day of the week for the stock look. OEM Z199 jubilee (rare or a good copy) or the super rare Y035 pressed bracelet. (Even hard to find good copies in AM forms these days)

(Even hard to find good copies in AM forms these days) Awesome thanks! DAL1BP already in stock I think. Maybe US Z199 if I'm feeling flush The Z199 will have an "SQ" clasp because it was only available on the 7548 and 7C43 with SQ dial. The Y035 is the proper OEM bracelet for the 7002. I got lucky and picked up two of those this year after a couple of years of waiting for them to show up on eBay. That bracelet also came out on the 6309-7290. The Z199 is much better quality with solid links with screws for link removal. The Uncle Straps version is nearly identical, other than the clasp (one is on my wrist as I type this). If you want an aftermarket metal bracelet, that's the one I'd recommend.

Thanks very much for this! Great that you managed to get hold of them after so long! I'm not sure I have the patience to wait as long as you did so it might be US in the meantime...

My weakness for the 7A’s allure continues. This one is “for parts or repair” and closed at a very low price. Just a detached bracelet and maybe a coil or two need replacing.

Resist/Resist from February 1970 on original strap in good condition. Stamped Daini on the movement and inside case back. I like that it’s an early Resist label towards the end run of this reference. I like the wear and patina. Untouched. But might keep the strap and flip the watch since I have a mint transitional. I’ll see once in my hands

I wonder if Daini was responsible for mainly export watches at some point in the last 60's and early 70's... I seem to be collecting more and more anecdotal clues pointing me in this direction....

This one was in the mail. Just cracked open the envelope. Filthy, but the dial is oh so sweet. Fired up with a new battery. The extra stamp on the caseback is a bonus. It was loved. Rob
