Just in (for a fiver!) one of the family of The Big Banana, a black Vagary AquaDiver. It was listed as non running but a fresh battery and a wipe of the contacts seems to have helped. The analogue did stop for a couple of hours yesterday with a twitching SH so it needs a service but it’s fine at the moment. The hunt continues for the other colours at bargain basement prices... Yay, the Big Banana's cousin, camrok.

I’ve also wondered if these would be a suitable donor for the citizen C021 as they can be sometimes found for less than a pint, Stein, Shooner, pot or whatever your measure is.

I’ve had a general ebay search on since The Big Banana came my way and this is the first cheap one I’ve seen. If you do stumble across any of the other colours for the price of a beer or three I’ll definitely take it off your hands if you don’t want it!

Anxiously awaiting the arrival of my TST which I sent to Duarte at NEWW for a refresh. New NH36 movement, black day/date wheel, signed crown and bezel insert were installed. Duarte does fantastic work and his turnaround is phenomenal!

Arrived today, ‘03 7C46-7011. It took 3 days from JP to Seattle, WA US via DHL. Needs a fresh crystal and gaskets but running great at +0.30 SPD as expected for a 7C46.
Did DHL cram a bunch of fees and customs duties down your throat? I have an SBBN035 waiting at Buyee's warehouse.

I paid a high $43 USD that included domestic and international shipping. It’s about $10-$12 more than I’d normally pay with EMS pre-COVID times, for a similar shipment from JP:
Shipping and Handling Fee Details
[Total Shipping Cost] US$43.00 (4,409yen)
[Fee Breakdown] <Domestic Shipping Fee (From seller to Buyee)> 970yen
<Consumption Tax> 0yen
<International Shipping Fee (From Buyee to your address)> 3,439yen
<Package Consolidation Fee> 0yen
<Protective Packaging Fee> 0yen
<Photo Service Fee> 0yen

I paid $39, about $10 more than normal. Was happy to have watch in hand within 4 days, rather than waiting for EMS to resume shipping to the US. Especially if it happens in the middle of the election. Rob

My beloved 45KS finished her journey at the Lapinist for what I believe it is the next best thing in terms of polishing techniques after the Japanese craftsmen. Can t wait to get her back! Will be interesting to wear a watch 61 years old that looks as it looked in day 1 when it left the factory... I waited 14 months to get mine back from him and it scratched on the first day ruining the finish within hours.
He told me the metal is soft. I said if I was told that it was soft enough for this to happen and that merely wearing it on a normal day would cause it to look like that I wouldn't have flushed hundreds of dollars and over a year of my life waiting for it. I would have passed on the refinish. Wasn't happy.
I have dozens of watches that I have worn for years that didn't get ruined the first day I wore it or scratched like that. "Soft" isn't the word.
Wear yours with caution.
Mine is sitting in the scrap heap to sell. Looking at it makes me want to smash it with a hammer.

Now that you ve mentioned this ... my plan of wearing her in a velvet pouch around my neck becomes even more evident...

I mean I wear my watches carefully and still get scratches. At least that Skyliner is a worthy watch, seen some guys send in watches with crappy dials and moldy lume to get Zaratsu done and nothing else - you can get a service, relume and change for what you pay for the refinishing.

This was a very early morning purchase. I woke up and could not sleep so I browsed with my phone in bed when I stumbled on this new listing from a seller in California 3 hours behind my time zone.
It looked really nice and has the original strap. The case appears unpolished and the lume looks perfect. Bezel insert is okay and the watch is "working." I assume this never saw any water. I am also assuming it is all original as the hands look great.
I held my breath because it was a "Buy It Now" and "Best Offer" and placed an offer 20% less than the asking which was already low as it is. I figured if I miss it, it wasn't supposed to be or they're always be another one. All the cliches that pass through your mind. I wound up falling asleep waking up 3 hours later, checked my phone and saw "Pay Now."
Here are the seller's pics.

I never see these for sale. From 2010, G-Shock's "Green" watch. Tough Solar, recycled packaging, etc... Environmental themed. Love the color, solar and world time features.
Purchased from a woman who said it was never worn. It's in conservation mode now. Probably sitting in the sock drawer the past decade. A good day or three in direct summer sun outside should fully charge it.
