Another ‘60s handwinder heading my way, a 6602-7040. ebay is strange sometimes - I was the only bidder at £20 🤔 Great! I've just serviced one of these for which I also was the only bidder! For 19.99€ it was a non-runner but now it runs very healthy, and I really like it.

70 of which were from a 0 feedbacker.... I know, most likely a scammer . . . but there was nothing I could do to change that. Ebay is full of fakes for this model, for twice as much. I was/am hoping to get an original. If something's not right, I can return it via PayPal, so no worries. BTW, I reported it to Ebay, FWIW (probably not much).

I was an early bidder just to put a mark in the ground. I knew it would sell for much higher.

Got this old retro “3 eyes” designed for a steal on Amazon. Cheapest I’ve seen. Nice beater for the G Shock collection.

Here I was saying the sellers pictures sucked, but mine really aren’t that much better. Sucks to be me with a camera. I will never, never, ever buy a watch that is shipped by DHL. These watches have a horrible story about their trip over. Check out the crowns, if these were Invicta sized, I could compete in the crown scar thread from WatchGeeks. Both came in original packing with unopened directions and hang tags. Dead stock. They and the bracelet are well built and seem to be of good quality. I got these for the movement, I don’t have a red dial, so this will work and the silver dial is nice too with its gold accents. I now have a 4s12 (upper right) a Seiko 4s15, a Yema 4s15 and these with the 4s15. I’m in search of the green SARB with the 4s15 and the cream dial diver.

A Seiko Technical Guide. Lord knows what's in it other than the one picture of 2403A movement and it was cheapish at £10 Perhaps someone can enlighten me as to what other cases/movements to expect. I did ask but got nowt back so that's one star for sellers communication. The manual has arrived and I'm very pleased. Well worth the £10 spend. It covers many many models and most of the vintage cases. it's very thick with lots of schematics.

With the bay and other auctions now loaded with fakes or watches with dubious parts at ever increasing prices I again have opted for something peps are less interested in yet I can tinker with. An SPB001 which again has the 6R20A movement. You might have seen the SPB003 recently serviced. So after some haggling I have this in USPS transit. There was only one other floating and it was in the UK but the seller could not take the time to reply to my messages and when they did the price was still high for what was on offer. This one comes in very good condition, with original packaging and paperwork but from the USA. I liked the large baton markers.

Arrived today, ‘03 7C46-7011. It took 3 days from JP to Seattle, WA US via DHL. Needs a fresh crystal and gaskets but running great at +0.30 SPD as expected for a 7C46.

Totally agree - I had a SBBN015 and was on the fence to get the SBBN017, ended up selling off the 015 eventually. Couldn’t pass this one up and I always liked the clean non MM dial with the crop circle indicies on the 007. Nice article and not too late for you to pick up another 😀

Just in (for a fiver!) one of the family of The Big Banana, a black Vagary AquaDiver. It was listed as non running but a fresh battery and a wipe of the contacts seems to have helped. The analogue did stop for a couple of hours yesterday with a twitching SH so it needs a service but it’s fine at the moment. The hunt continues for the other colours at bargain basement prices...
