Sent off the watch I built for my brother to be checked by a pro. Now on its way back from Luau with a thumbs up health check.

Oops, I did it again: That'll be a 6619, I guess. Not sure about that spot on the dial, but at 1 ¥ there is room for buying parts...

An absolute GRAIL watch.
I have lusted after one of these for over fifteen years. It is a 7A38-7030 from December, 1983. Very rare and expensive when new, very rare and expensive now. These were 100,000 yen in 1984...almost twice as much as the next most expensive 7A. I got this from YJ through Buyee, but a Japanese 'middle-man' seller had it listed on Ebay as well. Apparently, this reseller asked the actual seller some questions about the watch and got information about it which was not listed in the original YJ auction.
Awesome! I got additional info on the watch and didn't even have to learn Japanese! First time that has happened!
It has sticky pushers, but otherwise seems to be in good order. Light wear on the case and bracelet, but no scratches on the crystal. No fading of the red accents on the dial/hands. Relatively long bracelet. Every other one I have seen...and I haven't seen too many...were overpriced, in poor shape, or BOTH. This watch was not "cheap"...but was cheap for a 7A38-7030. I was surprised to be the only bidder. I paid much less than it cost new, which is unusual for one of these.
Ah...feels good to finally scratch that itch. It cannot get here fast enough.

Please make a thread once you have it. I bet people who like these things would love to see the movement. Heck I think even those who are not interested would like to see it!
That is some serious piece of engineering.

cobrajet25 that’s an awesome story as trilo suggested I think many of us will look forward to the full story once it’s in your hands. The 7a series definitely has some very impressive variants. I’m partial to the Bridgestone 7a28 and the green motocross designed one. This one here is definitely a really nice combination between their dress and sports variants. Thanks for sharing.

6119-6023. Only works face up. Quick set not working. Internal rotating bezel works. No mullered screws and clean 6119C movement. For £60 it's worth the punt.

Picked this up today from the seller and very pleased. That's the very first time I have met in person (2 metres away)and conversed with someone who knows watches inside out especially Seiko. Not only did he know watches he knew bracelets especially Omega and Rolex. During our converse he rushes off indoors and comes out with a 6159 with lovely patina and wear. This ones not for sale he says...not that I had £5K+ on me. He was wearing a German dive watch whose name I cannot recall but very similar to 62MAS.

Took a flyer on this Gen 2 Monster for $70. Sold in filthy condition and a non runner. I cleaned it up and it looks great. Look closely the minute hand is stuck under the chapter ring! So it won’t advance. The day and date work and the second hand too. I can move the minute hand back but not forward. So I’m hoping my watchmaker can fix the hand. My photo after cleaned up EDIT Back from my watchmaker. He fixed it in “2 seconds” no charge 👍🏻

6306-8070 Silverwave Been looking for a clean example of this one for some time now:
I LOVE the '70s and early '80s SilverWaves/Sports 100s. They are the ultimate grab-and-go watch. Here is one I just got. It is a '77 7546-8010.
Came as part of a JDM 12 watch lot along with a 6458 diver, another really nice white 7546, a '69 Queen Seiko, and several other fairly nice women's JDM watches.

I have a white $29 2625 ladies diver I don't have a use for to go along with the orange $29 2625 ladies diver I don't have a use for!
The orange one showed up earlier this week. Had a pinched case back gasket, but other than that it is nearly perfect.

I got this junk lot for the three 754X variants.. I don't have much interest in the smaller scuba models I will be moving those along. Cheers Henry
