Wow! Yes, it's been polished but the green dialed version us quite tough to find! I've got the blue and the yellow, and would love the green. I'm green with jealousy in fact!
Cheers on a great find!

Good tip! Thanks Shawn. Are there generics that can be used in a pinch?

Beauty Shawn!
I am quite taken by the watch. I always liked it in pics but in person it's just gorgeous.
It's totally not her style and she's not the biggest fan of my watch addiction, so I've got fingers crossed that she likes it. I'll give it to her tomorrow night so I'll know soon enough!

This is the quartz 2625, so the not moving of the wrists should be ok. I'm not even sure she'll like it...

Nice job Funkster! I love it, but agree as to the insert. The red would be the natural choice, but you could also go with black with gold numbers, or the black with red triangle Broadman insert. Jake has em all. Nice as is, though. Cheers.

The yellow sumo has haunted me for some time. I didn't get one initially because of the gigantic markup over the regular one. Really wish I bought when they were around. Not everyone's cup of tea, but I REALLY want one.

So thanks to all you you who posted pics of the 2205 lady's diver in last week's "what every Seiko collection need" thread, I have made my first vintage women's Seiko purchase. I thought it would look good on patty's wrist while I wore my 6159. I am very concerned as, now that I've seen it, I want to get the other variants as well....crap!

Hi Bob... OK, took it apart and the spring bar does not go through the center section. The hole that appears to be there in the rendering is in fact not there on the watch itself. The end link snugs up to and sits under the center section. The bracelet looks like this when separated from the watch and you can see the ends of the springbar...sorry for the crappy pic The lugs look like this...top view And the bottom view...

Yep...upgrading to the tapatalk version with unlimited pic hosting cost only a couple of bucks and made life one step simpler. Too bad proboards doesn't have this option.
My workaround is to use photobucket and shoot the picture right from there. This saves the step if doing a regular camera shot, then launching photo bucket. Pic still goes into camera roll and i dont have to actually use the camera. Small savings, but something.

From what I've read, the proboards app (what I am using now) is actually a version of Tapatalk, which is what I use for SCWF. I guess there are some funky thing about the proboards platform that require a custom app.
Both make forum use on iPad and iPhone much better!

Nice, but I still can't get past the bezel font. Really not for me. The dials are both very nice. Great opportunity for a mod, but being LE, pricey to buy it and hack it up.

Awesome Shawn...what a great grab. You are right, lots of 6309's trading hands every week, but not so many that are all original in great shape. Cheers!

Hey bob,
If you enlarge or look more closely at the illustration, you'll see the hole for the spring bar in the center section

Well, it would bother me if it was just a screw, or even worse, a fake screw head. It's a working screw designed to screw in the fascia. Ok, so not necessary, but at least it has a purpose! I'll let Seiko slide. I do think it looks pretty badass with the Sinn rubber!

In yesterday's WRUW thread, the question was posed...are they functional or decorative? Appears to be a bit of both! I have not taken apart mine but I remembered I had this picture in a book. As you can see, the end links fit around the cutout in the lug area. The end links are secured it seems by the fat bars as usual. The plate and Allen screw is decorative. There are folks who have done some strap mods...(borrowed pics) very cool!

The JDM has its own bracelet design AFAIK. The one on the right in my pic is sporting Jonathan's h-link but I believe came on this originally.... Attachments:
