For those that don't visit TOF, this is the latest Basel World rumour planted in the inbox of a mod over there. Powered by an 8L35, 40mm, rubber or bracelet option. What do you think? Do you buy it? Would you buy it?

I sure hope I can afford one! It's gotta be cheaper than what the originals are selling for these days.

This might be a new model that I will have to buy, it's definitely got that vintage feel. Hopefully when we see an actual pic, it still rings true.

Thanks Eric ! Bracelet eh ? At the rumored $3-4k there should be a bracelet and strap. How do you think this will affect the original 62mas market if the reissue is $3-4k?

At the rumored $3-4k there should be a bracelet and strap. How do you think this will affect the original 62mas market if the reissue is $3-4k? Hard to say - for prices to move you'd have to have more competition, and I don't know who doesn't know about the 62Mas, but who will want one after this issue. We Seiko guys are an informed bunch.

After reading both threads what comes to my mind is how many of them they will make and how long of a production run will it be? How well will the initial selling price hold up for those early buyers?

I'm betting almost guaranteed to be a limited edition.

There is no FORK®© patent pending If by some inter dimensional force Seiko releases anything even resembling the "artists' rendition" shown it will only continue to divide the masses of Seiko collectors pitting one side against the other. The it should have been under $500 and affordable to the masses vs. the it is a classic watch in the heritage lineage of Seiko history and deserves to be built and priced above the common man. Good thing there is no FORK®© patent pending to break the union apart
