Well, I suppose there needs to be a differential between the models, else why would anyone really go for the L.E. model (other than the fact it's a L.E.) That said, I think they've missed a trick with this offering. Divers generally aren't my thing anyway but I really don't see much to get excited about in the 'el cheapo' offering. WTF is with those hands? :puke: I was thinking the same thing. It looks like they stole the Seiko 5 dials with the double framed 12 that everyone uses for their MOD homages. And the hands  If the case is really 43mm on the cheap ones even if you tried to source a set of LE hands they would probably be too short. But since there is no FORK®© patent pending it is moot point |

I know a guy who's selling one. He also sells lawn and garden equipment, which is probably why the MM is being sold dirt cheap.  He sells smoke blowers too  Do they blow grass smoke?  |

The hands are U.G.L.Y. and you get an X...
I doubt the LE hand set will be available as a spare.
You might need to swap them out with one of the aftermarket hand sets?

Well BUST my bubble Seiko! They really loused up the lower priced version! Those Monster hands and the "X" make it easier for me to "PASS". Sad . . . . very sad.
You'd think Seiko could come up with a different set of hands instead of putting the "let's use the MONSTER hands on every diver" ugly old things. I guess the cost savings are monumental! LOL!!!
Sorry Seiko . . . . you had me for a while but you lost me!

And it was all going so well... 8L35 movement, styling that is faithful to the original and people speculating if it would be be a similar price to the MM300 or possibly cheaper.... Then the price and the news that it was a limited edition were released and most people said f*** that, and then the pictures surfaced of the abortion that is to be the regular version... Talk about snatching defeat from the jaws of victory... The regular version is atrocious with that X on the dial, the hands, the irregular shaped indices, plus the size at 43mm. Not for me I'm afraid  . still rather have a marinemaster me think Are there 8L35s with 3 o'clcok crown? All they would have to do is come up with a new date wheel to move the crown to 3. No need to change the date wheel - the same one works with 3.45 and 3 o'clock crowns. It's a different story with the older watches that had the crown at 4. |

To me the hands aren't as bad as those ridiculous "keystone" hour markers!!  WTF!  It is supposed to be a 62MAS homage, and the rectangular hour markers are a very key attribute!!  Fail! Complete and utter FAIL!!!  Oh and 43mm, another stupid mistake!  "Lost Sale"! :puke: - Thomas |
