I'm betting almost guaranteed to be a limited edition. First the Spoon, now the FORK®© patent pending Seiko is going to run the money train until it falls off the rails.

I reckon an 8L piece is stupid. They should go 4R35 with dolphin back @$650. There is no FORK®© patent pending If by some inter dimensional force Seiko releases anything even resembling the "artists' rendition" shown it will only continue to divide the masses of Seiko collectors pitting one side against the other. The it should have been under $500 and affordable to the masses vs. the it is a classic watch in the heritage lineage of Seiko history and deserves to be built and priced above the common man. Good thing there is no FORK®© patent pending to break the union apart

Good thing there is no FORK®© patent pending to break the union apart I don't understand the watch industry vs. the auto makers marketing strategy which includes everyone (budget wise). You want a Mustang but can't afford the SVT Cobra or Shelby version but like the looks. They offer the 4 banger and the V6 and even the Gt version. You want a Spoon or a FORK®© patent pending because you love cars / watches but don't have the coin you can own the base model with the 4R35, the mid range model with the 6R15, the Shelby version with the 8L35 and pay for each tier accordingly.

I sure hope I can afford one! It's gotta be cheaper than what the originals are selling for these days. Well . . . if it's $3K - $4K I'm out. Way above my pay grade.

Well, that looks quite good! It's going to be way over my budget currently, but but it does look rather faithful to the original.

I'm betting almost guaranteed to be a limited edition. I hope not as that will pretty much gaurantee a through the roof price. If not ltd. ed., as Carl said will the early buyers suffer with prices to fall later as with the SRP77X's, because that hurts. On the other hand, that's the free market and beats set pricing.

still rather have a marinemaster me think Are there 8L35s with 3 o'clcok crown? All they would have to do is come up with a new date wheel to move the crown to 3.

Seems the other rumour going round is that Josh's idea of having a range of models is what's actually happening.... I'll wait until they release official news, otherwise the rest of this conjecture is a waste of time, and I think quite funny. Even if certain ins and outs are true! For the rumour mill ; there is going to be a dolphin caseback and also there will be a PADI version...

I've also read: That would be closer to $2500.
And that there will be an unlimited 6R15 Version - bigger and with different dial.

I've always thought that a 6105-800x reissue would make an excellent Grand Seiko diver. It really has a lovely case and considering what Seiko did with the 62GS a couple years back, could be really well done.
