How inviting their pre-production render is! Looks like an $100 aftermarket Loy special. Strange.
Anyway, $3600... Shakes head.

Based on the number of posts it seems the Fork™© Patent Pending will be a bigger flop than the Spoon™© Patent Pending

Is coming.... Do you know the best way to pre-order one and have a chance to have it.... I'm not a specialist for the new Seiko😃😃😉

Maybe your nearest Seiko Boutique or Seiya perhaps.

Jump in your car and head over to Basel in 10 days. Maybe you can put a downpayment on the display model.

Is coming.... I was hopeful, but it looks like they've taken their design cues from the fakers.

Love that it has the classic dolphin. Bummed that it looks like it's just etched/frosted and not engraved. Like the thin clasp.
Edit: also like the signed crown.
Overall still happy, but I give it an A-.

An A-? Even with the rounded lume sills? And the too small hour hand lume plot?

An A-? Even with the rounded lume sills? And the too small hour hand lume plot? Yeah, these new unlit renders aren't flattering - but in my mind other than the SBGA071 it's the best diver Seiko has made in almost 40 years.

Agree 100%, I consider it the best SEIKO diver's watch release since the 70s. Finally we get the 8L in a ~40mm case, lug holes, "SEIKO-crown", classic styling and probably the new lume hand applied on the dial. The measurements seem great and the crystal looks awesome. The only reissue that could have topped a 62Mas reissue would imo be a 6105-8000 reissue.

It will be interesting to see what it looks like in real life and the quality compared to its cost.

I have the 8R48 chrono and it is top notch quality in fit and finish, and more importantly, in feel as you adjust the time or set set the date. It's a chrono and the reset action is Swiss-like. So expect the best.

It's not Swiss like, I've owned and tried many Swiss made chronographs and 8R48 watches and the 3 vertical clutch chronk of the 8R is a joy to handle compared to most Swiss made chronos, the El Primero for example is far from as smooth as the 8R models.

Me too. El Primeros are what they are. I was comparing, in a non-scientific way, how the 8R48 feels buttery smooth in action with a refined reset feel. Not as nice as a modern Daytona but on a par with a top grade modern Valjoux 7750, like my Montblanc that I flipped which was far better than the Bulova top grade that I also flipped. A lot of our members here only in-depth experiemces with chronos are with vintage 6138 and 6139 models. As you know, by comparison, they are crude and rude. Not that I'm complaining, I own at least 20 of them!

How did a high grade minor complication date only Japaneses movement thread get turned into a Swiss moon phase triple date chronograph conversation There is no FORK®© patent pending or SPOON®© patent pending The Swiss have now appropriated chopsticks
