Now for a couple of cacti I own.
I got stuck with this one.
I got stuck with a group of Lithops I bought on Ebay when I was trying to run up the bid on some asshole who kept runnign up the bid and I ended up getting stuck with them.
The seller sent 25% less then he said he had.
He blamed it on a few died and he lost one in his car when he was packing it up to ship at the post office and threw this one in.
Then when I got them half of them died right away.
I should have left him negative feedback but took the higher road.

I could have sworn I took pictures of this one months ago but I can't find them
I had picked off all of the stragler "ears" and now it has stragler "arms" on it.
Oh well.

My Aldi cultivar cactus.
Same style as the $500 one I gifted to Victor when I passed the World Traveler 2 onto him.
His had better wrap around fully caged needles on it.
Mine is still susceptible to attack by the Jedi's as there is a hole in the force field.

I think this fancy Aldi cultivar cactus is the same as the last one just a little bigger.
Or at least some other variety of the same genus.

And the last of my $500 Aldi cultivar cactus collection.
Devils Tower
I hate succulents cuz all of the leaves fall off as soon as you tough them or because you don;t water it so you water it and then the leaves dies cuz you watered it.
I hate cacti cuz you get pricked or they tip over and you get pricked trying to upright them.

I owe my first surgery to a cactus that blew over in a Santa Ana windstorm in our yard back in California. First I was told "The needle will come out on it's own". Then I was told "There is no cactus needle". then I was scoffed at for requesting surgery "Fine we'll schedule you for exploratory surgery" and finally on the table "Hey, there is cactus needle here!". I lived with it for over three months
I don't like cactus or cocky surgeons.

Collected these over the last week or so. Only got stuck a couple of times in the collecting, but am sure to get bitten several more times potting them up. Opuntia are among the worst for vicious spines.

Aldi hasn't has any good or cheap plants since September.
TNJ hasn't had any plants that spoke to me or were affordable for quite a while now.
I did buy this one today at TNJ to cut up and put in my fish tank. If you re going to have to soak the stems to get them to hopefully root might as well try to clean the tank.
Pet store said my water was almost OK and they had a bad batch of neon tetras come through their store recently so hopefully it wasn't my fault with mine from a different source.
Pothos
It's supposed to grow back pretty fast at a foot a month.

I stopped by the pet store to get my water tested before I put my stupid fish in the tank with the school of other stupid fish.
Since I am the type of person to repay your free time and free service with my business in appreciation of what you have done for me I picked up a plant for my fish bowl.
You can get plants cheap on Ebay and I am sure there are plenty of hobbyist who are 100% legit and are just trying to make a few bucks rather than throw away all of the divisions of their plants in their tanks but I was warned about snails.
So I guess I either need to get a 5 gallon plant bowl to put even more plants in (as if I don't have enough plants and now 2 fish tanks already) or just go with BIG PET. These are actually the first plants at that location in all of my visits there.
I might have to go back tomorrow and rescue another fish that I saw while there today
I wish I would have taken a picture.

I wonder if you left that on the counter at a Starbucks with some water in it if someone would pick it up and drink it

I don't drink coffee.
I have never been inside of a Starbucks.
I admit to drinking a Starbucks hot chocolate that a vendor brought us at work once.
Their cup and cap design worked great when I reused it for my made it myself hot chocolate (I will see if I can find the Stan Lee link)
If anyone knows where to get a reusable Starbucks style thermo cup let me know.
Anywho from what I have heard I am sure the cost of the plant is on par with a fancy cup of Starbucks crap.
PS: I have the picture I just have to find the post.

Snap-On makes some pinup thermo cups if you're into that sort of thing. But they're kinda pricey on ebay - Matco has some cut-rate ones that are cheaper.

Funny for a while it seemed like 90% of what was in Matco's catalogs were toys, apparel, or some other type of Swag. That driver soon stopped coming by as did Snap and Cornwell. So many other brands of good quality they just couldn't keep up. The idea of "buy once cry once" just doesn't hold the same sway as it once did with the guys...That said the most expensive tool you will ever own if the one that breaks in the middle of a job...I may own more watches then ratchets but it's real close...Screwdrivers too, my neighbors jealous of those...
