I'll look forward to that one then. I also noticed they now have a Trappists Rochefort 10 in stock, sadly it did not make the trip home. One of the staff seems to know his way around different brews as he guided me around the store making suggestions as he did on a previous visit. Hasn't disappointed me on one of his picks yet.

The Rochefort is also an excellent brew. I still prefer a good ABT12(it's extra special good if you can get it on tap!).

I second Rochefort, I love the Trappist beers, and Abbey beers. Monks can brew some good beer!
That variety pack looks good, too!
A couple years ago around this time of year, I went on a Trappist quest. Tried getting one from each Trappist brewery. At that time I think there were 8, was only able to get 6. I opened them all and had a beer tasting over the holidays, it was great!

This evening's selection. Nice drop, which is just as well as I weighed in for a full 24 of them

I'm not a big beer drinker, but I do like to have a pint or two if I can persuade Her Ladyship to drive when we go out. Due to my eye still not being 100% after an infection, I don't like driving after dark, and tonight was a rare opportunity to have a couple. But as the service was incredibly slow due to staff shortages at the restaurant it became 3.

A few more for sampling. Two of the above were sacrificed in scientific experimentation. The IPA is the only variety from available from Lagunitas. Not as bitter as many and restrained on the hops, quite good. The Stout is temporarily on hold. The New Limburg Belgian Style Ale brewed about 1 1/2 hrs from me, comes in @ 7.1% and in typical Blond style went down as smooth as the Cleveland Indians did. Languitas is currently my favorite brewery. I've tried pretty much all of their beers. Maximum IPA is excellent as are Brown Shugga, Under Cover Investigation Shutdown Ale. You pretty much can't go wrong with anything they make. Very tasty, reasonably priced and very srtong brews! Highly recommended!

First taste of Tasmania's offerings tonight, along with some damn good fish and chips at 'Fish Frenzy' down on Elizabeth Pier in Sandy Bay. Oh, and I can report that the Lazy Yak was highly agreeable despite the dodgy 'Tom cat turd' graphics!

Having a few of these this afternoon, and they're going down rather well. The Furphy's is brewed in Geelong using 100% Victoria ingredients.

One of my favourite Stouts is back for it's Winter appearance... This is a local craft brew that is a substantial beverage. I doubt any monk in any monastery would scoff at this one. It has a good solid body, a wonderful mouth feel and all the flavours one expects from a good stout. With a low 6.5% ABV, I can enjoy this one all night. The 1 litre 'stoppered' bottle is just about right for an evening...unless I'm really thirsty

Damn richies with all of their beer rules and your fancy "Hotels" Did I ever mention the time I had to stay at the MOTEL 6 in West Memphis AR (which is bad enough in and of itself) in a room FACING I-55? All night long it was nothing but freeway speed semi truck traffic and engine breaking 100 yards away

My daughter (only 16) had my wife pick up a 4 pack of these for me as a Christmas present. Aged in bourbon barrels and 11.1. I'm not a bourbon drinker but this is one tasty beer.

Those look quite inviting! The Dead Pony and Sam Saint beckon to me the most. What types of beer are those two? Cool paddle BTW
