Something a little off track from 61##, a SPB003J1 (6R20A) Premier One owner from new 2006 model, with box and papers. Sold a 40 year old garden trailer and a fountain pen yesterday and the funds were burning a hole in my Paypal account. I saw that one last week Don and was almost tempted, but I’d just bought my SARB so thought I’d better not! I have moved away from the mainstream 6### vintage and looking at something different. The Spring Drive I was chasing fell through and sold to another. I kept going back to this and asking questions. In the mean time the price dropped twice then I had some spare bunce and did some haggling with the seller who eventually agreed a deal. He bought 2 back in 2007 and gave one to his brother as a present. Lucky chap. I have the Seiko works sheets and it looks a nice movement to service. I am currently trying to source a new strap, 4K25A2 (Black leather) but I'm just not sure on a deployant clasp. Had one on a Presage and did not get on with it. Di-Modell don't have a 21mm which is a pity.

Di-Modell don't have a 21mm which is a pity. Good luck with it. Here is mine with a 22mm genuine alligator strap on the deployment. It’s broken in quite nicely. I wore the hell out of it for a long time. Works flawlessly. Impressive movement. Great watch. I think you’ll enjoy it. Funny I’ve been tempted to sell. Haven’t worn in years. I'm gonna time it to my atomic clock and give it a good clean and polish on the mirrored surfaces. A little evening project. EDIT: Quick clean and polish. I’m thinking I should wear this!

Arrived a couple of days ago and worth £4.20 I think. Non-working but a new movement for £3 soon sorted that out. Just need to decide where to hang it - bit big for my wrist 🤣

Got this for $20. Removed and threw out the drab ugly blackish blueish bezel and band. Have an OEM bezel and band from another model. It’ll look awesome. Metallic flake navy blue. Gross!! Cleaned 👍🏻 Killer watch my friend Great find Thank you for sharing it with us Pics when you get it all together please God Bless,John

Got these on the way, which could be another multi-month project as I just had to order from Japan... We're suckers for a good Pair Watch (as Japan calls them) and these are a brand-new LE so it was time to act fast! (SBPL029 / STPX079)

As close as I'm going to get to a Seiko Panda dial. For around $60 USD it was worth a try.

Though it is very likely going to be too big for my 6.5 inchers, I told myself I would test-drive one of the new SNJ 'Arnies' if I could find one for under $300 all-in. Of course, being a child of the '80s, the 025 would be preferable. But any ol' Arnie would do!
That happened very early (my time) yesterday morning. This SNJ025 was so inexpensive I initially thought maybe there was something wrong with it, but I still couldn't hit the BIN button fast enough. Comes complete, and the seller says it's 'like new'. He has great feedback and shipped the watch the same day I paid for it. Should be here Saturday. If I don't dig it, I can almost certainly flip it for a small profit. Plus, it's my birthday today!
Happy birthday, Aaron!

Happy birthday, Aaron! Happy birthday indeed! It’ll be fine Aaron - check out my WRUW post from yesterday with my Streets Arnie 031 on a similar sized wrist.

Happy birthday, Aaron! Happy birthday Aaron! Yep, they wear well on all wrist sizes imho, an amazingly versatile piece. If they are going cheap cheap I may have to start farming for them!
