This was until the UPS man showed up earlier. Seller stated it is heavy and the bezel is loose and doesn’t line up well. I agree it’s a bit heavy and the alignment isn’t great. A 0.9mm oring improved it some and solved the looseness
Wow! That is the best looking watch I have ever seen!*
*with a power reserve indicator on the dial
Hahaha! I honestly don’t hate power reserve indicators but they definitely aren’t applied well in a lot of cases. This one is really inconspicuous compared to most.

Great score Cam, loving the top left one is that an Invicta? Needs a bit of work. Pretty chuffed. I'm confused by the erection I just got seeing this but here I sit trying to figure it out.
Awesome score!!!

Not, 'in the mail', but picked up locally. This is a 1985 7A48-7009. Bought it from the original owner, who had paid $400 for it in 1985 or 1986. He wore it very gently for a little while and then into the safe it went.
It came out of the safe last week and was posted on OfferUp. I saw this watch when it was listed, but at the price he was asking I assumed it was probably already gone. It was still active as of Sunday afternoon, so I messaged him to say I would take it. Didn't expect to hear back.
To my surprise, I heard back this morning. Went up this evening to pick it up about an hour away from me. Guy was really nice and seemed to know what he had. He had one offer from his local jewelry store for $50 and another interested party offered him $80 for it. I paid what he was asking...$125.
Still has the case back sticker, but no hang tags. Boxes and manuals. Very, very light wear, and one toolmark on the back...which still has it's case back sticker. He didn't know if it ran, but it had when he put it in the safe. This was part of the reason he advertised it at a low price.
Not sure what I am going to do with it yet as it is not really my style, but it will probably just end up in MY safe!

Just bought this one, which seems to be the last 300V05GN S in the world... ...and yes, I have a 45-7001 waiting for her resurrection. (Please don't tell my wife)

This was until the mail carrier showed up yesterday. Nothing special but I have been curious about the Miyota 9015 for a while and am kind of on a pilot watch kick, so when this popped up on eBay I figured why not. Tisell Type B.

It made it all the way from the South Pacific in record time. Well priced skx399 with a very small scuff on the dial (rookie marks) from hand extraction at some point. Movement looks great and lume glow all matches. 2005 Jay

Out of the blue. An Air Compressor service guy that I have been friendly with for about 20 years surprised me with this, and a pretty cool pen and paper letter to boot. Seems he remembered my stories over the years of doing work south of the border, and my passion for watches. I have bought several Swatches over the years of my wife but never owned on for myself...pondered the Sistem51 when it came out, never pulling the trigger. NOS tags included from 1994!

A case back press.
That 25€ Seiko A133 has cost me alot, but can't stop it now becaude I took it so far (new gaskets, new crystal, new battery hatch...).
Well atleast I got the press soon. I can use it for other watches.

A rarer G-Shock from 2011 in the United States. Usually only Asian sellers offer this one for big bucks even in cruddy condition. I was fortunate to find this one in the US and offered $65.00 for it and was accepted! The Buy it Now was only $79.99 and almost tempted to just grab it before someone else, but gambled with an offer, waited, and nabbed it. The surface grime should clean up, but worse comes to worse, I can replace the bezel for about $20.00. I might hit the lettering with gloss black enamel to revive them. I really like the matte military green with negative display and pops of orange. Very happy to add this to my Tough Solar/Multiband 6900 series collection, especially for little money.

Lol, I sometimes do this, too.
"This is already a really great deal, but if they accept my offer of $20 less it will be a super-ultra-double-mega-AWESOME deal!"
Sometimes I am smart enough to just pull the trigger, like when I came across my $200 SNJ025.

This one is a blast from my past.
It is a Timex 'Militaire', and I had one just like it in junior high. These were sort of a Swatch clone, though considerably less expensive. They were about $25 while a Swatch was around $40-$50 depending on the model. May not sound like much now, but it was a lot of money to a 14-year-old who was getting $5.00 a week to keep the yard mowed. I distinctly remembered the model name, the yellow and black colors, and the big inexplicable wing on the dial. I also remember that wing making it hard to see the black hands!
Been hunting one off and on for quite a while. Up until this week I could not even find a picture of one online, nor any other reference to this watch. A few days ago I found this pic, which linked to a live Ebay auction. The seller had a drug/gift store in California for many, many years which had recently closed. They were selling off the old inventory of this store, and this watch was part of than inventory. The price they were asking now was the same as this watch cost new circa 1988. Condition is NOS.
I made them an offer, and the watch is on the way. Hmmm. Now I wonder what ever happened to Jennifer Emerick...the little hottie that sat across from me in 8th grade science class?

A 6319-8060 grey dial. I monitored a white dialed version on the bay with the intention of buying it for a project watch but unfortunately it sold for more than I expected. Trolling Google this one came up at an antiques dealer in London and it was 1/3 the price of the ebay watch. After a few questions and answers with more pictures I bought it. It is very clean, damage wise, but has some DNA to boil off.

Arnie.. Henry Very nice. I had a few NOS watches including the first GS but I ended up selling them as that blue protective sticker became the thing of nightmares!
