Never understood why everyone has the expectation that a 40+ year old watch is going to look amazing unless it's a sock drawer find. New crystal, ultrasonic and some scuff removal and it will look great. Big money for one that’s not so nice...but it’s got the very hard to find original bracelet in what looks to be a long length. I’m sure it’ll clean up great. My point was simply that at $400, the bracelet is the star of the show, not the watch head.

SOLD. Unpolished. NOS bezel installed a couple years ago. Rest is all original. Runs, not timed, svc history unknown. Only mechanical issue I’m aware of is that the chrono reset varies between the :59 and :02 seconds positions. Sometimes straight on, but not always. Inner rotating bezel rotates as it should. Dateset is fine. Buttons/crown operation is fine. Case shows minor wear marks, but still really nice for an unpolished example. On very nice, thick, leather strap in good condition. $425 net to me shipped CONUS. Intl addl $35, at my discretion. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Beautiful and clean 6105 Resist from 1976. Serviced and lightly restored by Jack at IWW in 2008... - full service and pressure test - light polish - sapphire AR crystal - amazing relume job on hands and markers Watch components are all original and original to watch, except for crystal and gaskets. As is common, pin no longer locks crown. Watch starts right up, keeps great time, and has no mechanical issues. As seen in pics, no one is better than Jack at the “sympathetic restore.” A lovely result. $1175 net to me, incl CONUS shipping. Intl is at my discretion for addl $35. Thanks guys! Any of you guys had this happen? An old, not very collectible, semi-beater in your watch box. Untouched by you for a couple of years. Something you never really cared about. Something that, somehow, ended up in your collection. A member is looking for one, you pull it out and send pics. You decide to wear it a bit to see how it runs. Like the girl next door, you find yourself suddenly in love. Doesn’t matter that she runs stupid fast, doesn’t matter that she’s not worth the cost of a service. You fall in love anyway, misaligned date window and all. Share your “watch next door” pieces...

Hey Tim. Perpetual Calendar watch. Very cool, not really that rare. They pop up fairly regularly in the usual places. If someone is into the 1970s Seiko scene, odds are pretty good they have one, or did at one point. I think I have a non-runner somewhere.
It’s very cool, hard to find in excellent condition, and there’s some videos on you tube you can check out.
Cheers!

Looks good. Strap is a modern Seiko replacement, rest looks solid. Other than that small bit of munge on the minute hand, looks really nice! Might want a movement pic before pulling the trigger.

Buying from this guy would worry me. Have you checked out the rest of his stuff? Some truly amazing pieces at truly amazing prices. Others being sold as NOS with the wrong bracelets on them. Others that are used but still at NOS prices, and others that have been polished or are mungy at what I’d consider high for minty.
Really bizarre.

There will always be another one. None of these are so rare you won’t see one again.
I once sold a truly pristine 7015 speedtimer to another collector. I immediately regretted it. I was truly upset that I had let it go. I had never seen it’s equal before, and never would I again. I may have cried.
Well, I found it’s equal not two weeks later, with box, manual, and a really cool speedtimer instruction sheet I had never seen before. It was like heaven opened up and gave me its greatest gift.
Of course, I flipped that second one a year later.
Like women, there will always be others. Always.

Why would anyone want to harm a baby turtle? Aren’t there laws about this stuff?

Cool mug! Let me know if you ever want to part with it. But I went full you know what. My mother in-law framed all this for me just before she retired as a museum framer/painting restorer. My two favorite space watches Omega is in the safe. Too lazy to dig it out. Funny I stumbled on to this thread as I chose to wear the pogue today as I browse ebay for parts. And yes, as former infantry paratrooper, and being amongst family of grunts, it’s always a laugh even though they all know and respect Col. Pogue, who certainly never met “Pogue status” What a nice display! What a nice mother in law!
