My 6117-6400 World Time was missing a single tooth but it didn't affect the operation of the ring so I left it. I guess two missing teeth is one too many!

Ok, so I swapped out some original (and non-original period correct) bracelets with some Uncle Seikos - making these nearly all wearable now...

The latest additions are :
A 6217-7000 re-edition from 1967. This has the new stamped torch on the back, and what I believe is the correct config with thin red GMT hand and lume on the hands:
And today this Dolphin - a short run from Dec 1964 only, and quite hard to come by in this condition - with correct thin black GMT hand and no lume on the hands
And here they are side by side:
Side note - I don't think the XAA-401 bracelet on the dolphin is correct, but it looks like perhaps a period correct bracelet - I wonder to what watch it belongs?

having spent just about two years researching and collecting these, I have some better "educated" guesses at a few things that intrigued me early on - all relating to the 6217-7000
- Red GMT seems to belong to the 67 Olympic Torch re-edition, both silver and black dials - and these also seems to have gotten lumed hands
- I wonder if the dial marked MADE IN JAPAN was JDM, and 7000TAD was for overseas? There are relatively few of the 7000TAD dials overall, and this seems like a plausible story, given the timing the the T dial requirements coming out of Switzerland...
- It has been observed that some black dial variants seemed to have the lower part of the 24 hour scale in a bronze/yellow color, while others seem to be more red. I now suspect that the red variant is found on the 7000TAD black dials only, and it seems possible that these all really belong on the 1967 re-edition, with red GMT hand. I don't think any 6217-7000 black dial had a thin GMT (whereas the silver dials started with tapered GMTs and then switched to thin versions in July/Aug of 64). The thin gold toned GMT belongs on the black dialed 6217-7010 from 1967 with the lume spots on the dial.

If anyone spots a lume-less 6117-6400 in good condition - please let me know. I think I am going for academic extra credit - and targeting the black and white lumeless dial for an extra gold star
