Had to bump this pic on one of the coin forums as someone else found one in the wild by a member from the Southwest who searches as hard as I do (and found a ton of silver due to the untapped well due to his location which after a year realized the new supply dried up)

I saw this at the local antiques market. Pretty much add up the melt value of the silver coins and add in the face value of the non silver and add $5 for the frame and nostalgia and you have your purchase price. Pretty much the same as a NOS Seiko quartz dress watch with box and papers on Ebay that had an original MSRP of $300 and sells for $8.

I still hunt but not as much as I used to due to having to get a new job which is no longer near my old main pick up bank and they have a new branch manager who won't hold the coin for me til the next week if I can't make it that week. I sold all of my Kennedy silver finds off on Thursday at our clubs meeting and figured it would be a while before I could rebuild my stockpile but I got 4 out of 5 good boxes today and finally got some good coins. 2 1970D's (I think I am up to 7 1970D and 3 1970S), a Columbus (my 3rd classic silver commem to go with my 1982 Washington which was found before them) and an 1861 French coin (my oldest roll hunting find) 44 40%ers including 2 1970D (from 2 different boxes) 4 1964's, a Columbus, 2 Franklins, a counterstamped, 2 proofs, and a rolls worth of NIFC. Only 3.6 million 10 Centimes were minted 156 years ago and who knows how many survived over that same time span and how many made it 4,100 miles from where they were began to my table.

Boring as it is, not being silver, we now have a new $10 note in addition to the $5 note I posted previously. Apparently they are the most secure note in the world. As many would know the polymer bank note was invented here and we export the polymer to several countries to print notes.

I'm guessing all of them or only the two in the middle. But Josh will be the final arbiter 7dfe79adc2f0

All of them are 40% silver AKA the bastard redheaded stepchild of the silver mining world.
Extremely hard to sell for silver melt value and too much face value tied up in silver value but if you can double and a half your face value with a copper cent at least you can quadruple your face value with a 40% half.

My 2 favorite American Silver Eagles.
The one on the left has been sitting in my garage for the last 6+ years wrapped in a "non bleached" brown napkin.
There was a rumor on the coin forums if you put silver coins in "unbleached" brown napkins from fast food restaurants it would tone you silver coins.
Some collectors prefer "blast white" silver coins while others prefer "rainbow toned" coins.
If I would have known it would have actually worked I would have put 100 out there wrapped in napkins and been rich by now
The coin on the right is the one I won from Chris from our wager back in 2014.
It has been in my pocket with me everyday since January 2015 with the rest of my other pocket pieces.

@cd_god - how about adding a different coin to your WRUW post each day? Looks like you might have a fun collection. Maybe when you run out of golf tips If you do that, I will try and do the same - coins were my first "hobby" since quite young.

Just like my watches, I know all of the coins I own.
I just don't know where they are when I want to get a specific one out (or I do know where it is and it is offsite somewhere and I don't feel like going all the way there to get it out)
I misplaced my 1794 Large Cent shortly after I purchased it.
I know what it looks like, I know what holder it is in, I know the slab box it was last in, but I still can't find it for the last 5 years.
